Being nice does not help at all, apparently we have to be nasty to get things done! Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 584Dec 14, 2017 10:12 am That is a joke that he won't speak to you! I feel so bad that they have ruined this experience for you! I think you are fully within your rights to be upset but just remember a lot can get done in just one week, and they may have plans to catch up on all the delays in January. It would be much better if they would just communicate with you what they actually are planning to do! Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 585Dec 14, 2017 10:30 am agree with Sarah, if they just said they have plans to adress the delays gave you some dates to show this intent it would be much better instead of you spending the next 4 weeks wondering just what will be done when in January Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 586Dec 14, 2017 10:58 am What we thought and got told till they said monday add 6 weeks cause of a number if breakins our schedule had to be re scheduled as the breakins on our site caused delays! We had daily site visits some times 3 a day and proof of only 1 breakin and no fixup till this week. They are now trying to cover themself and get out if it cause if our build is delayed by breakins we get no compensation when they go over our building time... Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 587Dec 14, 2017 11:02 am We assume they are managing our build poorly sunce monday they said we cant get our paving till after handover and after a huge disagreement they then said oh we are doing your pavers it will be before hand over. They have our house mixed up with another house! Their stuff doesn’t march up at all and probably all our trades has been at the ine we are mixed up with. Our house is evidently being poorly managed and forgotten about even though we contacted them daily about the lack if fixing the wires. They just dont care about us really! The ss did not even do a site visit for the first 2 weeks after taking over from our previous one 😡 Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 588Dec 14, 2017 11:06 am We got an email yesterday that they could not get to answer our concerns but will reply today! We are still awaiting the reply... we asked for detailed reports of the so called breakins, work that was apparently done (and stolen) and how they plan to rectify this and catch up , we said we do not accept our build being extended as they assured us in an enail for 4 weeks they will catch up and nothing was mentioned about breakins delays on our build that will add 6 weeks... Now we wait yet again! Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 589Dec 14, 2017 11:32 am So they are behind on lockup 2nd fix Flushing gyprock Waterproofing Plumbing bathrooms Tilling Joinery All of this according to schedule was supposed to be completed by tomorrow.... This is what they want to add 6 wees tonour build for They said they are not doing anything till they reopen again! Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 592Dec 14, 2017 12:10 pm Furious!!! How convenient that our ss confirmed our wires was robbed 3x! Oh really has all the house he supposed to supervise been robbed 3x??? What wires did they steal if they never fixed it!!! We went to site every day! Even the same insolation was on the same spits for 18 days till monday 4 December when the wires was fixed! They are a bunch of liers!!! They are fraxxelent if they claimed from the insurance 3 times! We will not leave it at this! I am contacting the insurance company and providing them with proif that wires was not fix or stolen 3 times! Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 593Dec 14, 2017 1:10 pm After a huge fight... finally getting somewhere! Told them to lookinto the apoarent theft claims... if electrical people said they robbed it then they are laying cause they might be charging $$ for work not done. Pur ss will call us next week to discuss “now catching up” and said they are tracking for end January pci so h/o mid February then we wont be homeless! Why do we always nex to fight to get somewhere? Feeling better now Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 595Dec 14, 2017 1:40 pm This crazy person 😜 need to relax now! I wush they could work on their communication. But still some one is telling stories with the breakins... but they will look into that now! For all sites of our ss and the electrical company being used... hopefully the one thats telling stories will be caught out and others building wint have this happen. But still wondering why no communication regarding the breakins could have been communicated to us Hoping goes better now Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 597Dec 14, 2017 7:41 pm Sarah159 I'm pretty sure they would of made the break ins up to buy themselves some more time. They probably didn't expect you would question it. Squeaky wheel gets the oil! Thats what we thought too... but since we went past daily and the brickies was there we knew what was going on when... and the neighbours keeping an eye for us Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 599Dec 18, 2017 3:24 pm glad that you have been able to tell them off - what an absolute shamozzle. hoping that they are all pistons firing when they come back after the break and can catch you up So it looks like we finally have some movement on site!
