And to try and imagen if it will lolk goid when its all together! Think next big changes will be after grouting and painting! And then floors! Lol Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 663Jan 24, 2018 7:06 pm Entilzha that tiling looks good. Thanks Just feeling like its taking forever But think tiler not at our dite the whole day... (if looking at amount of work done a day) Might be same tiler you will get? He said he will maybe be finished monday at our place. Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 664Jan 25, 2018 4:35 pm So tiler is still busy doing tiles fir wall in laundry and toilet. Then he has grouting of everything left! Got eaves today (no scotia against wall yet and also not on alfresco yet) Still beed rendering, 3 diir frames and hung and the skirtings/cornises around kitchen cabintry Painting supposed to start tomorrow? But heat/holiday it is very unlikely? On a goid not we will meet ss monday 9 am to finish measuring the areas where we could not access (tiled areas) and discuss the progress of the build will also ask about windows nit closing flush and bout the slide doir that has a bow. (Did email consultant about it when it was installed but nothing done bout it) so hopefully when we ask ss it will be rectified before pci meeting Hoping he can give us better time frames/dates for pci and h/o that we can book accommodation/container for lease end abd move Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 665Jan 25, 2018 4:38 pm Yay for meeting time with ss. Not supposed to be as hot tomorrow now - only 37. Will they be able to paint with what is left to do? Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 666Jan 25, 2018 4:44 pm Maybe bathroom/laundry/main room/hall ways/ roifs in 3 bedrooms and walls that doesnt have the door /lounge/dinning Just the eaves need finishing -3 bedroom doors frames need to be installed and the joinery kitchen needs the cornices/skirtings But not sure if will paint where tiles are? Although the flooring was tiled on monday so should be okay but kind off think other things will be done for them to start monday. The odd bits thats not a full job (cause they might be in other sites booked, and weekend only time for odd bits?) Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham 667Jan 26, 2018 4:22 pm So our tiler was in today! Bless him! He said tomorrow is too hot so he finished today with grouting. Got his number to do tiling for us on alfresco in the future:) So our tiles is now completed! Yay We also have now left: eaves bits in alfresco and the scotia bead against the bricks on eaves. Have 1 bedroom door left to be installed. Also just cornises/skirtings around kitchen joinery. Then rendering still need to be done. Painting did not start today but guess if tiler finished today they will start monday. Do the painters bring the paint Or is it delivered? Then we need : Flooring final plumbing/electrical and appliances/security doirs, flyscreens Stormwater Paving driveway/perimeter! Will hopefully know more monday after our meeting with the ss (not pci) but hoping will know more dates for pci and h/o Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham 669Jan 28, 2018 12:33 pm Oh no. Some people are such (forum won't let me put in word) Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham 670Jan 28, 2018 12:58 pm Last thing we needed hope this doesn’t cause more delays we are over it! Feeling like i just want to sell this house and disappear! Idiots that don’t respect others stuff and making things unpleasant:( We cant financially afford any more holdups/delays. So many houses being build around us but our house only one getting vandalised! Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham 671Jan 28, 2018 12:59 pm Nawsome Oh no. Some people are such (forum won't let me put in word) Police recon its youth.... Boot marks on doors and gyprock where they tried to damage it but they were not strong enough so they used a brick! And ripped out our nbn cabel! Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham 674Jan 28, 2018 4:14 pm I'm starting to think we need to invest in security cameras for our build. Heading about this damage at too many places Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham 676Jan 28, 2018 4:50 pm Was talking with a friend and he told me should put solid core doors on all external access doors. Wish he had told me that back before my selections Problem with cameras is they are also to susceptible to damage. One quick spray paint and camera is worthless and useless That said will be doing some after handover Inside cages bolted to brickwork So it looks like we finally have some movement on site!
