Container picked up today and everything mived to the rooms it will go into. Didn’t had much sleep! Police was around all night (which is goid( they stopped and checked our car that could not sleep in garage and the conteiner! Got a few more bits and pieces of things we needed! Now dlowly starting room by room to sort things (theow away when im over it!) Dishwasher sorted-faulty waterpype connection and flood valve ! Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 862Mar 09, 2018 10:48 pm good that they got dishwasher sorted. will be tackling mine tomorrow once i work out how to setup my fridge. the instruction re connecting the water and filter appear to be lacking Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 863Mar 11, 2018 3:45 am Our bedroom4 is extremely hot!even with binds. It seems toget direct sun. Our alfresco protects the lounge/dinnig area but unfortunately not our laat bedroom where the ac unit is also connected to the wall. What can anybody suggest to keep temperatures down that wont cost an arm/leg or runig te actge whole time? Window size 150x150cm Thanks Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 866Mar 15, 2018 11:10 am So git a security tinted film! But have to say we have a huge list for 3 month maintenance mainly paint/gyprock flush issues but also other ince thats showing like under laundry sink gyprock is exposed/not painted/tiled/sealed and the pipe bit comming in through wall is not sealed around and i can see into my wall 😖😡 thankful for the maintenance period but this had to be done from the start... still waiting fir the stupid pavers to bring back my oavers! And for alfresco door gap and bow to be fixed Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 867Mar 15, 2018 11:46 am So glad we're not using hickies. So dismounting for you, but fx all fixed at the 3 months. Apart from those issues, are you living your home? Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 869Mar 17, 2018 9:42 am @entilhza did you have contact fromss this week? Well it Seems he is avoiding us so called office who then transfered us to the maintenance department urgh still no fixing of pavers nor return of our pavers... which is keeping up our plans lol cant landscape till pavers fixed (and returned dont want them to blame us fir their poor work...) cant put in rain tank till landscaping is done since we are blocking off all access to back yard with our tank... more security and less chanses of getting to our sliding doors... we did get a quote for security film for whole house it will be $1700 (included the ines allready done) Under laundry sink will be done with 3 months maintenance, still the droping and gap of back sliding door not attended too but maintenance team is looking into shats going on as they say installer should have had that done in first week after h/o The concrete used with pavers seems to be a poor quality/workmanship its cracking everywhere and pieces breaking off! Well for what we had to pay for it we want it fixed.. was told has a 5 year warranty on ut if it moves/sinks in etc... Lol just want to book in landscaping for front and leveling of back to get rid off all this dust!!! Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 870Mar 17, 2018 10:21 am all i got was a txt from SS at 6.30am on wednesday saying maintenance guy will contact me wednesday or thursday - still no contact. I do have an email address for maintenance team but that's it. will start chasing it up this week . i do have my 4 glass door panels due to be replaces this monday however and soemone coming round to fix the chip in my stone benchtop on wed or thursday Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 871Mar 17, 2018 10:49 am He just said last week friday he will be in contact this week and pavers be returned and fixed this past week (but said that aince h/o) guess hes not contacting us maybe due to pavers not returning our pavers yet.... but ifno contact on monday we will be contacting management regarding the pavers taken by the guy gheir company hired and will insit on being reimbursed for the pavers including the revie if tha paving invoice with the measurements if the actual paving done... still believe we were charged by pavers for tgd full allowable allowances of 94m2 rater than the actual 78m2 done and thus thd reason why they took sll thd pavers so its not picked up! Lucky for us we counted the pavers... and our neighbours saw them take it away With the excuse it was put in garage and hubby messaged the guy thd same day asking bout pavers and he still has nit bothered to message back! This makes us believe that this guy from the start had the intent of stealing our pavers! After we clearly asked it to be left n garage.. he only left 3m2 there and took rest so he knew we wanted it left in site but thought we wont know how much there was, also asking company too look into exactly what we were billed for by paver as we had too oay in $1000 for the soil and the crossover/slip way concrete , making sure we were not double charged! So over these people taking things thats not theirs! And disgusted to just think how many others this has happened too that does not know! Well we would have used the pavers to pave front yard too with left over pavers but after this ordeal with them we cant trust them and will now not go with them st all! Think they sold/used our pavers for a private job and charged the poor people for the pavers that they stole! If management dont do anything we are going to the ombudsman with this.., as they have to proof to them the charges and what it was for snd were the excess pavers went ... but honestly dont care want my 13m2 pavers or a full refund at this time i just want my money back as im over this paving people and scheemers Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 873Mar 29, 2018 9:18 am so still a struggle with things, hoping to have good news soon or things sorted soon but so far more hickups and issues and huge lists for the 3 month maintenance. hoping to get landscaping sorted soon, we are just doing blue stoned (grey in colour ) in the front and landscapers will just level and remove access soil at the back for us , ready to dive in and make it pretty ... we are hoping to do a fire pit/bbq are and a small Japanese type garden with a bit of artificial lawn, not sure of layout yet, but we are looking in to small ornamental tree and have a few roses for the alfresco and herbs. hope it all comes together well our landscapers is also doing our rainwater tank , they gave us a good deal and saving us $600 because we are doing it all through them at the moment I'm so over all the dust, but I guess it will settle once landscaping is done ! my poor rumba is eating so much and has to be cleaned about 3 times a day (and we don't have carpets except the one in the lounge.... had some excitement in the street this morning, a dog came out of a house and was chasing people around in the street across from us, so every one ran to our house! we were the closes to get away far enough from it , and for cars to stop it attacking, so dog catchers was here, police was here, and now its sorted, the owners has to make sure their property is properly enclosed for their beautiful dog. (not first time this has happened, owners leave window open and dog jumps through it and chase people, but first time we could actually see what happen). so hope that it will be sorted soon that pup can go back home. Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 874Mar 29, 2018 9:25 am your landscaping plans sound beautiful. how frustrating for the other stuff. Hope all issues are fixed quickly and smoothly for you Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 876Mar 29, 2018 9:38 pm soil hardness was one of the things i encountered as well.. was lucky i was able to do my rear paving before fences so was able to get access with equipment as would have sucked doing it by hand. but your plans sound good Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 879Apr 02, 2018 6:16 pm thats a big mound of soil - what did its disposal cost you. still havent firmed up what im doing in my front yard. leaning towards stones as dont need to be as fussy with leveling ti then i hope but like the look of artifical turf as well Re: First home build SA Hickinbotham- keys 26/2 880Apr 02, 2018 7:04 pm All up $1729. Invluded removal at back (mountain of soil) leveling back. Dig out front bit includes rubble/sand/weednet , removal of front soil/bobcat hire and then top with blue grey stones and a ton of ruble gor back (back done by hand!
