Fixing inspection done on 21/05/28 and frame rectification that is structural is still to be done and SS asks Kevin exactly what is to be done - Kevin refers to Arden’s engineering drawing for the build and shows it.
Funny enough, Arden does not seek advice from DJM although they r hired by Arden.
I ask for rectification photos and the SS talks in aggressive tone why I need them and does not send them.
A complaint is made to HO for sending me frame invoice and lock up invoices despite frame structural issues pending Plus fixing invoice on 31/05/2018, I forward them report, mecon engineering report and I am asked to provide photos if I have any of the frame issues raised. I supply the photos of plaster cut at many places and Show why Arden is wrong in sending me invoices for frame and lockup stage when frame issueswere still pending.
A meeting is held between HO team and construction team. The SS who refused photos to me then immediately during or before the meeting sends rectification photos to Kevin.
Arden HO admin after meeting with construction team agreed they made a mistake regarding sending me the invoices.
The fixing invoice is re - issued with date 12/05/18.
Good work PE,
It scares me to think how many homeowners don’t question things and just accept the builders demands.
It’s good to see that Arden management have come to the party but it’s a shame you have to escalate that far when the SS should just do there job properly in the first place and not have these issues.
This is a perfect example on why it’s a good idea to engage and independent inspector. Those reports are gold when you need to argue an issue in your build.
Hopefully the rest of the build goes smoother. But the house does look amazing PE.
