Ours had to anyway. The builds warranty in on the slab/frame if anything does go wrong and theg did nothing about it/picked it up its their responsibility to re do which cost them mire $$$ Why do you need an appointment to let your inspector go on sit? Is it to meet up with the ss?! here we all just pitch up there at random times... Re: Building Arden homes Votivo 37 in South East 116Nov 16, 2017 11:47 am Ezza - had the same problem with NHI sending inspector late - I am just wondering why pay for the inspection if they NHI cannot get a person on time rather sending him after hours - SS finishes his shift at 1630 and therefore not his headache - I think it is better for NHI to send their inspector early in the morning before concreters arrive and have his report ready and check that the errors are taken care of - stayxtrue did with Darbecca and they checked in the early morning before slab was poured - Well - we learn as we go for the first build - follow my build Arden homes Votivo 37 iin south east: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88622 Re: Building Arden homes Votivo 37 in South East 117Nov 16, 2017 11:58 am pEast Ezza - had the same problem with NHI sending inspector late - I am just wondering why pay for the inspection if they NHI cannot get a person on time rather sending him after hours - SS finishes his shift at 1630 and therefore not his headache - I think it is better for NHI to send their inspector early in the morning before concreters arrive and have his report ready and check that the errors are taken care of - stayxtrue did with Darbecca and they checked in the early morning before slab was poured - Well - we learn as we go for the first build - Yep, agree. Seems like a waste of money really. Should have gone in the morning. Our inspector turned up late so concreters had left. Caused us more stress, all that could happen was fix issues in the morning before the pour and take photos. By time we had any confirmation that it was fixed correctly the slab was poured anyway. The report was alarmist but actually issues were minor. Live and learn they say! Re: Building Arden homes Votivo 37 in South East 118Nov 16, 2017 12:22 pm 4.30pm seem like a strange time for them to inspect. All tradies are done and gone by then. With our private inspector we give them a heads up of approximate date and then they liase with our SS to set up a time. They did the pre pour inspection at 6.30am on pour day so that anything could be rectified before the pour. This is what I'm also saying - just makes no sense for NHI to send a inspector but looks like they do it all the time - I just spoke to them - that's the way they do - I asked a simple question who booked it for 1630 - I said because my SS finishes at 1630 and tradies at 1530 - whether my SS or NHI - the person at phone just avoided that question in the best possible way - - So I would not recommend NHI again to any of my friends Bri - who did you go with follow my build Arden homes Votivo 37 iin south east: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88622 Re: Building Arden homes Votivo 37 in South East 120Nov 16, 2017 12:57 pm pEast Bri1234 4.30pm seem like a strange time for them to inspect. So far we've found them very helpful. They'd already spoken with our SS before we even me him, lol Keen to hear from people in the area who have got KDRB done on whom they got the build from? Looking for recommendations. Thanks 0 21099 May I ask why you chose not to use GJ Gardiner? I'm actually meeting with one of the sales guys tomorrow for an appointment.
