The original quote for the footing was about $24,000 but it came about $3,000 under that amount and it was reimbursed back to me. As for the flooring, I went with the laminated floor though the whole house, no carpet and three years on I regret it. It would be nice to have carpet in the bedrooms as it is warmer in winter. Also I have a large fluffy dog and two large fluffy cats and the fur is everywhere. I am thinking maybe with the carpet in the brooms it would be easier to vacuum it and it will stay in one place while now it is flying everywhere. I have got my flooring through Carpet Court at Parafield and I am not happy with the quality but mind you I went with the cheaper one. Couple years down the track I will replace it and do a combination of tiles in the kitchen, carpet in the bedrooms and laminated flooring in other areas.
