Im biased though as I have similar colours and selections to you, we have grey tiles too but 450x450 as there wasn't anything I loved in 600x600 and I wasn't paying an extra $6k for laying rectified tiles throughout when I didn't love them lol. Very nice kitchen selection!! I went with white, it was the only thing I could get hubby to agree on as he's a chef he wanted to make our kitchen like a commercial one with stainless steel bench tops GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: Building Firstyle Silkwood 21.7 8Feb 04, 2017 8:10 am Sorry for the late reply.. its been a stressful month. Charlibear! You have an inhouse chef. V Jealous haha! My kitchen is actually the hardest thing for me to coordinate to be honest. We are getting poly satin, 40mm caesar in a marble look and grey tiles.... the only colour I could come up with is Black for the cabinetry.. I love black, grey and white. It can be dressed up any way then. V elegant. Have you got a photo of your house? Would love to see! We received our prelims this week. Extremely disappointed (at first). There were stairs in the gallery due to slope of land, and the door to the garage changed spots from next to the laundry (perfect with kids and husband in construction - work boots 😣) to in the gallery. The stairs in the gallery are a def no-go with toddlers. All due to slope of land. But much to my surprised, Firstyle were pretty awesome about it. Simple flip of the house eliminated all my issues. I am so eager for all of this to start. Such a long way tp go. Plus we are living with my parents at the moment and as much as I love them, I miss having our own space. By the time the house is finishing, I will be itching to get in! Building Firstyle Silkwood 21.7 10Feb 04, 2017 10:05 am Lexh Lexh charlibear Congrats on settlement of your land!!! Can you let me know you experience with it thanks watsup Re: Building Firstyle Silkwood 21.7 16May 09, 2017 4:53 pm Its been a while since I have updated! We are now waiting for approval with CDC and the developer! We have our colour appointment and electricals on the 20th May. We have already chosen our external colours. Hopefully in the coming weeks we will have our approval and then we can finally start. I am very impatient, although Firstyle have managed to push everything quite quickly for us. I have to admit that so far, I am quite impressed with Firstyle. I just want my house! I love my parents but its quite overcrowded with 4 adults, a teething toddler and 2 cats and 2 dogs! Re: Building Firstyle Silkwood 21.7 17May 09, 2017 4:58 pm WhatsUp Hi There, Im building with firstyle and im signing building contracts did you have any issues at all with them cause they say they can charge you extra for this and that. Can you let me know you experience with it thanks watsup Hi Watsup! Congrats on your home So far we haven't had any issues with hidden charges but just like with any builder, I guess there will always be those little extras! We had one issue at the beginning where things were modified because of the slope of our land which was not ok with us but this was addressed and sorted quite quickly. Ive heard good and bad things about Firstyle but I really cant fault them so far. We are now at council/CDC application stage so just waiting on the go ahead now. Good luck!
