Re: Building Grange 25 Coral Homes - Northern NSW 522Jul 30, 2018 2:27 pm Geez - I'd be a little p!ssed about the brick scratching up my shelf! All progress pics are in the first post - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89917&p=1761154#p1761154 Re: Building Grange 25 Coral Homes - Northern NSW 523Jul 30, 2018 6:40 pm - week 15 - No progress at all in week 14. And looks like no progress in week 15. Our painter has pulled out at last minute so looks like it won’t be for another week or so until our house gets painted. Ahh.. Also feeling super bummed we added in mosaic tiles to our niches and there were meant to be grouted in super white grout. Which is what we brought for the tiler. And he grouted then in his standard grey grout. So now the marble herringbone doesn’t even stand out. Im so upset. I know 1st world problems. But it doesn’t as one feature of our house I was excited to see. We asked the tiler and he said he thought we said grey?? Even though we brought the super white grout for him and every single wall is in super white grout. Ahh I give up today 😩 Re: Building Grange 25 Coral Homes - Northern NSW 527Jul 30, 2018 8:18 pm Just got off the phone to hubby. He’s going to scrape it out around the mosaics and regrout it himself this week. Thank god!! I was really bummed about it. Coral don’t give a sh!t about there customers 😐 Re: Building Grange 25 Coral Homes - Northern NSW 528Jul 30, 2018 10:22 pm what was in your tile selections? if the grey wasn't stated in there, the standard is white on the walls (here with Coral QLD anyways) so you can make them re do it. as it would be their stuff up. It was white in our contract. But we brought super white grout and asked the tiler to use the super white. But we never brought or asked for grey. I’m pretty sure he did it to pee us off. Because he constantly complained about our tile layout and selections. And was trying to get more money out of us. But we put our foot down and complained to our ss. Then when we saw this today we rang the tiler and he was like oh well it’s too late now. And didn’t care less that he made a mistake. Hmm I smell a rat. Bring it up with your SS as it’s not to the plans, the tiler will want to do as little work as possible to make his day easier, mistakes can happen sometimes but this is something you’ll see everyday so chat to the SS. One of our tiles got chipped/wrong sized towel rails installed and damaged ones were cut out and redone (our ss told us about this at PCI, we had no clue) so it can be done. Thanks CC7, I’ll call my SS tomorrow. And hopefully get it sorted so we don’t have to do it. Re: Building Grange 25 Coral Homes - Northern NSW 533Jul 31, 2018 1:24 pm mj-mac4 I spoke to my SS this morning. He was pretty peed off that the tiler stuffed up. He said the timer will have to fix it as it says white on our contract. Phew! 😅🙌🏼 YAY! yep it's meant to be white, so technically they gotta do it like that. Didn't want you guys doing it yourself, it would probably take double the time than it would the tiler can't wait to see it pop with the white Re: Building Grange 25 Coral Homes - Northern NSW 534Jul 31, 2018 4:35 pm CC7 mj-mac4 I spoke to my SS this morning. It sounds like he purposefully messed it up, but I'm glad he has to fix it now - no extra money for him either! Your build is looking great. Not long now! Everything has slowed down. So hopefully things will pick up soon. Painting has been delayed to this coming Monday. And is estimated to take 1.5 weeks. How is your build coming along? 😊 Re: Building Grange 25 Coral Homes - Northern NSW 540Aug 03, 2018 2:52 pm Glad theyre going to fix the grout for you.
