I have been calling Metricon for the last week but no one returns the call. So Ive called the certifier looking for Interim Ocupation Certificate.
There are two things outstanding:
1) Drainage works needs to be completed by connecting pit to the street with the pipe
2) Stairscase to the laundry. Our laundry door is 80cm above the ground at the moment. I would need to do something later. But do they need to provide me with the temporary?
The darinage is now completed but would you think is it my responcibility to do a temporary stairs to the laundry or the builder's responsibility? Does the builder require to provide me the interim certificate or that is not 100% necessary for them?
We have a drop off our laundry door of around the same height. We told M we were going to do the stairs ourselves after handover so M told us they will seal the door so it can’t be opened for safety reasons until we have stairs. Not sure how that affects the interim occupation cert though.
