Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 17, 2017 8:37 pm Evening everyone.
Thought i would start a new thread for future Hotondo Homes We have selected the Tarwin 297, with a modified ground floor. We will be using the Ocean Grove team to build on our land in Curlewis. Unfortunately the land does not title till August and we are not planning on building till early next year. Re: Hotondo Homes Modified Tarwin 297 4Feb 22, 2018 5:53 pm Hi Rhonda Mc, fantastic design and love the layout. Sifting through designs and wondering whether you would feel comfortable in providing an update and progress idea?? We are in Torquay so suspect we would end up with the same local teams. Appreciate any advice! Re: Hotondo Homes Modified Tarwin 297 5Feb 26, 2018 5:00 pm Hi Bmaw. I haven't started building yet (our choice). So far, all good, we have been deal with Richard the sales rep and he is fantastic. I was happy with most of the inclusions, I did upgrade the taps, spouts ect. but i was happy with the tiles, carpets, ect. We made a lot of changes to the bottom floor, added a extra shower, bedroom, swapped the kitchen over, added extra on the garage. Nothing was too much trouble. Things like square cut cornices, flyscreens are included in your quote From my research all the builders are good up that way, you could pick any of them. Have you decided on a floor plan or builder yet? Re: Hotondo Homes Modified Tarwin 297 6Mar 02, 2018 8:21 pm Evening Rhonda. Your feedback is great, my thanks! Still trying to decide and starting to get a little over it! Would be easy if we were building single level! Double storeys are hard to get right with facades and balance, and trying to get a living area into balcony on the top floor of any decent nature is near impossible! Haven’t gone past an initial chat with Hotondo yet, messaged you as we had hoped to possibly get an idea of what they looked like with your layout. Any examples around you know of that helped you make your decision?? Re: Hotondo Homes Modified Tarwin 297 7Mar 06, 2018 9:47 am Hi, Have you looked at the Tarwin by Hotondo? That is what we are building. It is has an upstairs living room and balcony or even the new Jaxton, if you flip the rumpus and main bedroom upstairs. Unfortunately they do not have displays for those houses. My plans are further up in the tread Re: Hotondo Homes Modified Tarwin 297 8Feb 18, 2019 10:25 am Hi Rhonda, Any progress with your build. I'm also looking at the Tarwin 294 and would be interested in how the process with Hotondo goes. All the best, Sean Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74701 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
