Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 17, 2017 6:29 pm Hoping for some opinions please. In my building contract I paid to upgrade my laundry cabinet doors to rolled edge doors , and under bench cupboards to a handless profile. What was installed was standard profile doors without a rolled edge. Now post build I have asked for this to be rectified. They have come back and told me Laminex do a very limited range of colours in the vinyl wrap required for the rolled edge doors. Their solution was to 2pac the new doors with a Matte finish. My questions: should I be doing matte or semi gloss in a laundry? Secondly, what is the cost of a vinyl wrap vs 2pac finish? And opinions on my kitchen- my contract was for a Laminex woodgrain colour in rolled edge doors. Again I am told during construction it isn't possible and I am charged by the cabinet maker $3k to upgrade to Polytec. Am I right to try and claim this back from the builder? C U S T O M. C O R A L. Based on the costing we received vinyl wrap was about 25% cheaper and from all my research doesn't have the longevity of 2pac.
