Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 404Jan 29, 2018 7:39 pm Tiles continue this week with Garage door, benchtops and painting happening later this week too. Our bathroom tiles are coming close to be finished, the floors look way darker in the photos than in real life, still don't know how I feel about our floor tiles Really happy we went floor to ceiling in the bathroom though and love our wall tiles at least. Feel free to give some honest feedback about the floor tiles, I know a lot of people will probably not like them I am hoping that the which benchtops for the vanity and the white basins will break it all up, plus the light tiles in the shower. It will look completely different when it all comes together. Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 406Jan 29, 2018 8:27 pm I love the dark tiles, but I am biased because we are going dark! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 407Jan 29, 2018 8:30 pm Don’t stress, It’s going to look amazing when it all comes together I’m second guessing our choices and we don’t even have frames yet Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 408Jan 29, 2018 9:11 pm no it looks great! Don't forget, like you said, the white bench tops, the white from the bath, the basin and also the mirror. It also looks like you have amazing light coming into that bathroom so the mirror will bounce it around. I don't think the floors are too dark at all, there is still a contrast between them and the cabinets, they aren't blending in together. you two have picked well, can't wait to see it complete We went much darker than that on our bathroom floor, I was already worrying how dark they will look out of the showroom, so i'm sure they will appear black in our house haha Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 409Jan 29, 2018 9:23 pm Everything looks a bit odd when it's covered in dust and there aren't and basins, furnishings and finishing touches around it. I'm sure it'll look shmick mate! Clarendon Denton 24 | Gold Coast Status: Internal fitout! Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 412Feb 03, 2018 12:04 pm StephLee Did you guys have any more progress this week? This week we had all the tiles completed and grouted in the bathrooms. We had the painting start and all the prep put in. We also had all the pre paint etc get done early on. Stone benchtops and basins went into the bathrooms as well, will get some photos tomorrow. Really dissapointed but all the benchtops in the kitchen are going to need to be replaced We had a variation for the edges of the benchtops to be finished in pencil edge and they had all been done in flat aris. Going to address this on Monday and hopefully they can get it fixed asap... Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 413Feb 03, 2018 1:08 pm Wow your progressing so well Caydenn. It’s all looking great, I’m sure once the ceiling is painted and the fit off is done your bathroom will look beautiful. Looking forward to those pics tomorrow Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 414Feb 03, 2018 3:59 pm My hubby works with stone and said your benchtops can be fixed without taking them off by a good stonemason... although it will be messy! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 415Feb 03, 2018 4:37 pm Caydenn StephLee Did you guys have any more progress this week? I literally just noticed a mistake on our final plans with our caesarstone, when we extended it they somehow changed the overhang from 30cm to 20cm, not happy! But our SS is amazing and has already emailed the stone guys today to ensure it is fixed Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 416Feb 03, 2018 6:37 pm Thanks so much everyone I'll have all those pictures for you tomorrow! On a side note we woke up early this morning and lined up a couple of hours for the Warehouse Furniture Clearance sale and bought both of our couches and a new king bed ! Great deals Looking forward to the photos Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 419Feb 04, 2018 12:12 pm Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: Week 12 Tiles & Pai 420Feb 05, 2018 5:19 pm Both bathrooms look so fantastic, especially love the basins you guys picked out You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 17655 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13745 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1765 |
