Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: PCI March 8th 501Feb 26, 2018 9:38 am Probably the last update before PCI unless something interesting happens... House is basically 95% complete now, all carpets are in. They are just finishing off 1 or 2 more lights and doing the final install on the oven. Sent my SS an email about this retaining wall refund and expressed how frustrating it is that this has taken almost 5 months but when it comes to paying money to Coral it's expected within a week... Final things happening this week will be fixing up issues with the bricks and doing a final clean, very interested to see what they look like after another good clean! Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: PCI March 8th 502Mar 01, 2018 8:43 am We finally got our refund approved for the retaining walls, the fight was worth it.... Our SS did his PCI early during the week and the painter was back yesterday however he has done some really really lazy fix ups... Seems paint work is going to be our biggest fight at walk through. Brickwork still has issues after the clean and some chipped/scratched bricks are now being looked into by PGH and Coral. I'm very apprehensive about a 5-7 day handover after PCI with how much needs to be done. Only 1 week left till walk through and hopefully 2 weeks till keys! Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: PCI March 8th 503Mar 01, 2018 10:05 am Hi Caydenn, good news about the refund, hopefully it will be the same for the defects. Can I ask you what colour your downpipes are? We have the same brick and were suggested to do the downpipes in “black caviar”. Hoping yours is the same as they blend in beautifully with the brick. Hello Our downpipes and infills are painted in a colour called "Wayward Grey" by dulux happy to grab you any more photos in you like, we are really happy with it. I have compared yours and mine together and your has slightly more black in in which you will like I think ours has the tiniest little bit of purples hue to it but only very up close and it is very slight. I think you have chosen well. Didn’t even ask how much it would cost to do them in brick, had already spent over our budget in upgrades Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: PCI March 8th 508Mar 01, 2018 9:23 pm Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: PCI March 8th 509Mar 01, 2018 9:25 pm Looks amazing Caydenn. So coral homes confirmed with you that that pipe in your driveway is for a grate drain on our engineered plans it did say that they may need to be one if they don't get the correct fall! Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: PCI March 8th 510Mar 01, 2018 9:27 pm Ryan2007 Looks amazing Caydenn. So coral homes confirmed with you that that pipe in your driveway is for a grate drain on our engineered plans it did say that they may need to be one if they don't get the correct fall! That is definitely what it is for Our driveway concretor said it won't be needed but it's great they installed it in case. Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: PCI March 8th 511Mar 01, 2018 9:29 pm Ok awesome so we can just concrete over it or d we have to go around it! Hopefully not too may fix ups at PCI! We are still waiting we will hit over a year before we get into our house 😔 Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: PCI March 8th 512Mar 01, 2018 9:30 pm Ryan2007 Ok awesome so we can just concrete over it or d we have to go around it! Hopefully not too may fix ups at PCI! We are still waiting we will hit over a year before we get into our house 😔 That's so bad I feel for you I really do, they place a metal cap on it so you actually dont include it into the driveway but leave the top exposed just in case Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: PCI March 8th 514Mar 01, 2018 9:59 pm Ryan2007 It's frustrating for sure! Hopefully we will hear something maybe tomorrow or hopefully next week 🙏 Fingers crossed your house is looking beautiful! Thanks so much Ryan Re: Coral Homes Noosa 23 - Ormeau Hills: PCI March 8th 515Mar 02, 2018 9:45 am Looks amazing! Very happy for you to have reached this point. Supposedly then can replace one of them within the next 2 weeks but one model they may not have back in stock until the end of April You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 18578 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13775 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4352 |
