Good luck with your PCI today Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Love my Garage Door 443Aug 10, 2018 10:38 am icat2000 Popped by house today as we have PCI tommorrow. They have commenced the tiles outside. Just need to grout them. Also started finishing off the island bench. Wasn't too sure how the three colour scheme would go in the kitchen but think it looks okay. Wish me luck. 444Aug 11, 2018 5:57 pm All seems well. Just some painting to do. Door handles on the doors and doors to be adjusted if required. Fences are going in this week and the Painters will be onsite this week for a couple of days to do any touch ups and paint the feature walls. Skirting boards to be put on over the floorboards and they have to install the appliances, hot water system but they do that last cause things like that go walkies if they put it in too soon. On schedule for handover on 17 August. It either be morning or afternoon depending on how things progress during the week. It depends on the weather. The tiler was onsite finishing up the outdoor area. I said to him he had done a fabulous job with the bathroom. The builder asked if they could take some photographs of the tiling cause its come up very well. It was one of our biggest risks putting in the blue tiles. Worth every penny paying for feature tiles (blue) and doing it floor to ceiling. Outdoor area. Looks good flushed with the extra concrete we got done. Which we put a pergola up later on. Wish me luck. 447Aug 11, 2018 7:15 pm I’m in LOVE with your bathroom. Great choices throughout the house. It must be a relief seeing it all come together. Enjoy your beautiful home 🏡 Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - PCI Tommorrow. Wish me luck. 449Aug 11, 2018 10:08 pm I feel both your pain and elation. I am going near-nuts at the moment waiting for my house to be built. I'm probably about 2 months behind you in the building process. I'd do anything to get out of where I am now and into my new home, but I'm not letting my builder know that. From their perspective I'm the most patient, easy going client they've ever had. Inside though, I am busting to move into my new home and start my new life!! As I have followed your thread, I consoled myself knowing that whatever you are posting about, just add 8 weeks and I'll be going through it too (I hope)! Glad you are getting your keys as planned Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Handover Friday 454Aug 16, 2018 9:06 am icat2000 Any ideas how not to make the sewer drain outlet so visible. It looks great. Is that the square thing on the front yard. Just put a garden around it. Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Handover Friday 455Aug 16, 2018 11:26 am You could put a pot or statue on it Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Handover Friday 458Aug 16, 2018 2:12 pm Hope you have a great day tomorrow Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Handover Friday 459Aug 17, 2018 7:52 pm Handover went well today. I think what is meant to happen is that your landscapers come in, prepare the soil and lay some turf out the front there. And when they are doing the turf, they are going to cut down the height of the grate and recess it a little into the lawn surface so that it actually ends up doing what it is designed for (catch surface water). If you kept it like it is now, it isn't going to do anything because it is too high (on purpose). Builders purposely leave them prominent like that and it is the landscapers job to "integrate" it into your landscape. A quick update, we didn't have site start before Easter. Summit can't seem to give me a day when they are scheduled to begin, so I'm left with a vague "within 10-20… 4 26696 Can you give advice on how to get missing certificates needed for a form 21?
