Don't worry, they always look small, even once the frame is up. You won't get a true sense of size until the plaster is in.
Thanks. You put my mind at rest.

Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Welcome to Slabville!! 303Mar 14, 2018 9:11 pm Bridgetwitch That’s great... now the fun really starts! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Schedule is to have the frames done by the 23rd. So we see how that goes. We still to have to meet our site supervisor, but he has contacted us via email. Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Welcome to Slabville!! 306Mar 15, 2018 7:54 pm We went down to the block today. Not expecting anything cause the slab is drying out. But we got our power box today. I also took my tape measure to make sure my rooms were the correct size. They are haha. Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Welcome to Slabville!! 310Mar 17, 2018 4:29 pm I love the chair choice. YAY for a slab. Sounds like things are starting to speed up! Fairhaven Homes - Clovelly 191 Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Welcome to Frameville!! 313Mar 27, 2018 8:01 pm Checked out the block today and we have frames up. Roof trusses meant to be put up tomorrow. Still feeling that the master room is small. But its only a starter house. My partner loves the house so I can't carry on about it too much. Happy to see the nice big window for the dining room. I forgotten about that. Also feel the kitchen, dining, family room with outdoor area is nice and roomy for two people. I wouldn’t worry about it being small in the master, you should be proud you guys are killing it so young with your first home Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Welcome to Frameville!! 315Mar 28, 2018 4:32 am Thanks for the nice compliment about being so young. We actually late starters (we are in our 40s) to the property game. Moving to regional Victoria has allowed us to buy our first home together. Funny thing is the mortgage will nearly be the same as what I was paying for 2 bdrm unit in Carnegie. Our First Home - Ballarat - Welcome to Frameville!! 316Mar 28, 2018 8:14 am Hehehehe sorry Icat I must of gotten my wires crossed and assumed you guys where younger. Regardless of age getting into the market is fantastic. We aren’t exactly spring chickens anymore either. I hear you about moving that’s exactly why we came out to the country. If we stayed on the coast our mortgage would be eye watering. Do you have to commute for work? Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Welcome to Frameville!! 317Mar 28, 2018 8:18 am Yay icat! Great to see the next stage ticking along. Just wait until the plaster is up, the master will definitely seem bigger then! The Vline train only takes over an hour and its quite comfortable. This way, we thought we can get a house, all new stuff for it and then have money left over for other life stuff. Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Welcome to Frameville!! 320Mar 29, 2018 4:33 pm Congrats on frames icat! We are in our 40’s too - so snap! We will only be paying an extra $150 a week on top of what we pay in rent now - and it will be our mortgage we are paying off instead if someone else’s.
