Thanks Tribe. We have been working each weekend at attempting to grow our own flowers from seed and some from seedlings already grown a bit. My partner wants a white and green garden. I think we probably introduce some colour, though pictures of all white flowers against greenery looks very nice. From seeds I have some success with growing carnations and poppies (not pictured as they still tiny, hopefully I can take them out of the seedling tray soon). But the lavender bombed out. The hot weather hasn't helped at all. So we just trying things out. Seeing what grows and what looks good together. I still have to come together with a landscaping plan. I want to pay someone to design one and we implement it. My partner, says no, he will draw one up (its all in his head he says hahaha). I said he's got until Easter to present something. Otherwise, we go the professional route. Anyway. I have attached some pictures. The daisies are about to bloom and the stock has come along nicely too. Other flowers that come in white and purple are rock roses, agapanthus (white and purple) they grow from a bulb and are super easy to grow, a lot of cottage gardens use them. Snap dragons and gladdies come in whites and purples too. Lavender can be a pain in the ar8e, it needs full sun, well drained soil and no wet feet, a good dose of cow poo will help too. Native violets for ground cover, decorative garlic for border plants and my favs hydrangeas, they will grow from cuttings and need to be treated like a boyfriend (treat them mean keep them keen ) cut them back every year to the ground after they have flowered and they will come back bigger and brighter the next year. If your going for a arch and want a climber, white jasmine, purple wisteria all look beautiful and can handle the cold. I grew up in Tassie and love all the cold climate plants, I had to learn again for the Queensland climate which is fun but defiantly a lot less flowers to choose from. You can also use bellflowers, foxglove and hollyhock, Iris and azaleas. When I’m trying to strike a cutting or growing up shoots I put a layer of mulch around the plant to help it retain moisture and provide some nutrients. I’m so pumped your really getting into the gardening, I love it (Incase you couldn’t tell ) keep going you will have a full selection to plant out when the time comes. I’m doing my landscaping plan this week, I’ve got my head around the outdoor lighting now so time to get planning. I hope Mr Icat comes up with a fantastic plan for you Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - We have a Building Permit ! 239Feb 12, 2018 8:05 am Got an update from our builder this morning. The job is currently with estimating, sending out all of your purchase orders. Once this is complete (within a week usually) the job is passed on to your supervisor to start lining up all of the trades with their start dates, and organise all of the initial things on site (like toilets, temp fencing, signage, site scrapes etc) Once your supervisor has his head around the job and those initial items out of the way, he will contact you (within the next couple of weeks) to arrange a start-up meeting, to get you both in to discuss how everything on site will be programmed, and run over any questions you may have. Happy Days. So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 27689 Can you give advice on how to get missing certificates needed for a form 21?
