Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 09, 2017 6:13 pm Hi all.. after a journey that felt like forever (it was actually quite fast ), we have reached PCI on our build with Easystart in Perth. Overall we have had very little hiccups during the build process, however, during the PCI I noted that there is no fall whatsoever on the bathroom floor, nor the Laundry. I poured some water, and it actually ran away from the drain. I raised this to the Site Supervisor, and he claims that according to the Australian norm there is not need to have a fall on those drains as they are intended for overflow only.. and that as matter of fact those drains are not connected to soakwells, or sewage in any way. Is this statement correct? where can I find this norm? any handy references on this? I am really having a hard time seeing the value of a drain with no fall, it kind of beats the purpose of it, doesn't it? I singed off for the PCI as the lengthy discussion with the Site supervisor went no where, but if there is supposed to be a fall, I plan to annoy Easystart as much as possible during the 6 month period.. so any references are welcomed. Btw, the fall on the showers work nicely. Thanks for your comments all. We are really excited on almost reaching the end of our build, but we are a bit concern on this issue. Would you consider accessing the separate toilet from the laundry? If so maybe… 1 11251 Thank you Splashers. Tomorrow I might check if I can get a few packs of 300x300 in the same tile finish. It may be good to use these could in the shower recesses. I'm not… 4 4682 |
