Benchtops have been installed! We were not expecting that this week. The kitchen looks great but... they've installed the wrong stone in 2 of the 4 bathrooms. We chose to upgrade our master ensuite and downstairs bathroom to oyster to make them stand out a little from the other 2. These 2 have pendants too & I want them to be a little fancier than the other 2. I've emailed the SS to let him know but no reply yet. I'll call him later today to discuss. Re: Modified Bahama 50 245Sep 20, 2017 7:46 pm GreeneAH They are one of the choices in the elegance package - they'd just changed them to these the week we chose our colours. Love them! I used to love the old curved basins but didn't like the ones they changed to so we got the square ones. It is a shame we missed out on those ones. Will just have to build again lol Re: Modified Bahama 50 247Sep 20, 2017 9:28 pm Wow you guys are smashing along! Love the basins and the free standing vanities! Re: Modified Bahama 50 248Sep 22, 2017 8:40 am Hi everyone! We met our SS on site this morning to talk through some things we wanted clarified. He's been so great this whole time & unfortunately he's finishing up with Coral in 2 weeks & won't see our build to completion. Everything looks great & he will schedule out the rest of the build before he finishes - his best estimate is we will have PCI in 4 weeks and handover soon after. He thinks the CM will oversee our build for the remainder of the time once he leaves. We then met with the tiler & confirmed the orientation of tiles & which walls etc.. we'd originally been advised tiling will take 1 week but the tiler doesn't think he will finish before 2 weeks due to tiling to the ceiling & the size of our ensuite. I'm really hopeful that they can get it done in the next 2 weeks. I still really like the tile choices so that's a plus! The scaffolding is down & the house looks amazing! Not finished painting yet though. I miss it we were 39deg here yesterday i popped over your way and it was only 29deg..... what a shame about your ss hes been so fantastic and super fast. To think you are only a month away and you had questioned at the start if you would make xmas! https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Modified Bahama 50 256Sep 29, 2017 4:52 pm Garage door has been installed! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I wish I had tiling pics to share but we've officially got the worlds slowest tiler. Our SS expected 1 week to tile & as of 2pm today (not that he was there, or any other time we drove by this week), we have floors in 2 bathrooms & the 2 other bathrooms have nothing started. It'll take a month at this rate! Painting scheduled for Tuesday 10 October & I hope that doesn't get pushed back now because of tiling. Re: Modified Bahama 50 258Oct 05, 2017 7:03 pm Hey Bell, We stopped by this afternoon & one bathroom is fully tiled (floors & walls), our ensuite is 75% tiled & 2 bathrooms have floor tiles only. No balconies tiled & no kitchen or laundry splashback. Supposedly finishing tomorrow. I hope he's prepared to work on Saturday!
