We totally missed that too. Can't remember exactly our measurements but all I know is that we would struggle to get a 4x4 in there What did you end up doing? I am hoping we might be able to change it- I'm sure it will be expensive but we can't leave it like that! Re: Modified Bahama 50 184Aug 26, 2017 9:07 pm Wow it all is looking great. Have you spoken to your ss to see what he suggests could be done. Cant believe Coral.with stupid things they should be trained to pick it up and ask what we want to do. https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Modified Bahama 50 185Aug 26, 2017 9:12 pm I know! It's so disappointing, it looks terrible! Every other door and window has been raised in the whole house. We've let him know & will discuss on Monday. Fingers crossed there's some options to fix. Render started on Friday - looks great! Re: Modified Bahama 50 186Aug 27, 2017 11:25 pm We have a Prado with roof racks and I fit with about 100mm clearance. I parked in the garage for the first time yesterday. I juuuuuust fit in the underground car park at King st Coles. Re: Modified Bahama 50 187Aug 28, 2017 9:08 pm Just catching up - great progress, hope the garage can be sorted for you Re: Modified Bahama 50 189Aug 30, 2017 3:14 pm Hi all, The SS confirmed we cannot change the garage height now as it's too far progressed. On the positive side our stairs are being installed today & kitchen is being delivered next week & skirting etc will be done next week too! Wet area tiles will be the following week. We are getting closer to the exciting part! Re: Modified Bahama 50 190Aug 30, 2017 10:16 pm Oh no about garage but there is nothing you can do so it is what it is. At the end of the day once your into that beautiful home it will be a long forgotten xxx https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Modified Bahama 50 191Aug 31, 2017 5:47 am We snuck by last night to see the stairs! It's probably been my favourite part of the house so far! We will try & go before work today to get some pics in the daylight. I can't wait for a sunset pic through that window over the water. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Modified Bahama 50 192Aug 31, 2017 6:32 am Yay for stairs! Very exciting. They are great pics considering they were taken in the dark. It is moving along nicely Re: Modified Bahama 50 193Aug 31, 2017 6:37 am How amazing are you stairs!! Can't wait to see a sunset pic, sunset is my favourite time of the day Re: Modified Bahama 50 195Aug 31, 2017 6:52 am They look even better in the daylight!! I love sunset time too. It is a good time for reflection. The sun sets behind the trees at the back of our block so the patio will have the best view. It was so pretty last night. It will have nothing over your view though!! Excited to see your house finished! Re: Modified Bahama 50 196Aug 31, 2017 6:58 am Thanks Tamara! It's why we chose this block - there's something very special about sunset. Me too! The next 2 weeks will be the exciting part! I've chosen this light for the entry but I'm worried it might be too small now Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Modified Bahama 50 197Aug 31, 2017 7:01 am GreeneAH Thanks Tamara! Your entry is huge. It certainly needs something that makes a statement. We got to play with all our lights last night. It was exciting and fun. There are light switches everywhere lol Re: Modified Bahama 50 198Aug 31, 2017 7:17 am The stairs looks fantastic and the place just looks massive from upstairs. Its all looking great https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Modified Bahama 50 199Aug 31, 2017 7:19 am Thanks Bell! Tamara - the light is 1.25m wide and the hallway width is 2.5 so I think it will be a nice symmetry and 1.8m suspension so ideally want it to come down low enough to be centred on the big fixed window. Re: Modified Bahama 50 200Aug 31, 2017 7:25 am Love that light, I am going to get it over my Dining Table eventually! I think it will be a good size for your void space |
