Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building an Allworth Home in Coast Central Estate at Wye 52Nov 04, 2017 5:08 pm Wyeebuild JRbuild Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum but very excited to see there is people out there to talk to who are in the same position. My partner and I have bought in stage 2 and are also building with Allworth homes. We have chosen the Altona home which is very similar to the Harmony entertainer we are also doing the ready to live pricing. In regards to Allworth so far we've had a great experience but we are in very early stages as we only picked and put a deposit on our home a few months ago so we have not yet picked our colours or any of that. We were quite happy with the inclusions and price and were happily surprised with a few extras as it was a deal currently going when we purchased. With information I've received about the land it has not been much. Today I spoke to my conveyancer and she contacted their solicitors who she said did not give much information she did however say that they have told her there should be some more information available next week so lets hope that's the case. We just want answers to know what is expected and what we are in for Hi Awesome to hear you are building with Allworth! You'll have a beautiful home, we fell in love with the Altona but the Harmony was more suited to our budget but a lot of our upgrades were to make ours like the Altona lol. We are a bit worried about the size as one of the main differences is the Harmony is smaller but we didn't think it would be a big issue as it is only our first home. But we have just found out that there are new Allworth display homes currently being finished off in Warnervale and we went and had a look through the windows a few weeks back and we were a bit concerned actually seeing the size difference so once its open and we can walk through it - I think it will be a good way to decide if we are doing the right thing or if we are better going with the Altona (now that we can save more as the registrations been pushed right back). We can't do anything more with Allworth at this stage as the next step is getting a surveyor out to view our block and Rod wont allow that until registration so we haven't been able to do any of our selections, kitchen appts etc basically until registration. I know you are still in early stages but does this sound like what's going to be happening with you guys too? I knew the sizing was different but I haven't really looked into how much smaller. As a first home I'm sure you'll be very happy. We couldn't resist the Altona. We were actually going with the smaller allworth home at woongarrah without the media room but we decided against it as yes its our first home but we are hoping to grow a family in this home and thought the extra room would be better. At the end of the day we would of been happy with either, they are all amazing! Yes they are finishing up at the woongarrah joint next week, it'll be sad not to do a walk through our home haha. Are the new ones almost ready? Is one of them the Harmony? Have you heard anything more about registration? Yes we are very much in the same boat. So far we've only chosen things like our front door, whether we want colourbond or rood tiles and just basic information like that however today we made a final decision on our brick which was very exciting Re: Building an Allworth Home in Coast Central Estate at Wye 53Jun 19, 2018 8:24 pm aphsta Doing well, we have our appointment on Sunday to sign off on the plans to go to CDC I found deciding on a colour theme to help a lot, there's also a tool that lets you play with colours online, it might be the Colourbond or PGH website We chose Gibson Brick - it was the only brick from the included range we didn't hate and actually liked, it's the dark brown one that should offset our grey theme nicely We chose Monier Horrizon flat profile roof tiles, which is a dark grey to match the Monument gutters. We are a few houses back from salt water so didn't want a colourbond roof. Monument Gutters - dark grey Upgraded to a single panel lift door in Windspray Also having all the fascia, windows, down pipes and water tank in Windspray and they are painting the front and laundry doors to match Do you have a picture of the outside? My home will be very similar.
