We have been warned that council can take 4-6 months to approve Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 88Aug 26, 2017 5:40 pm not yet but we have found 4 things we wanted to change on the master plans, so need to get that done before we sign off. Such little niggly stuff, but we want to get it right Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 89Aug 26, 2017 5:47 pm Awh hope its soon and that plans get changed quick we had a few things added after that was not structural so they just hand drawn it in like extra powerpoints and position of dishwasher and drawers etc I have been thinking about my kitchen cubboard colour lol I love the colour matching my bench top perfect but i dont like yellow and was afraid it will have a yellow look But was told with the grey floor if we get a light tgat has a blueish tone rather than yellow it will reflect the light and not shine yellow I didn't like the polar white colour with the benchtop it looked awefull so wwnt with eggers parchment gloss colour.(more sn iff white i think) mydplash back is light grey and walls is all winter ice (white) so thought yhe off white willbring in another shade thats not just the normsl all same white colour lol 😂 but dont want it to look yellow Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 90Aug 26, 2017 6:16 pm Definitely y don't want the kitchen having a yellow tone. We want white cupboards and a dark grey counter Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 91Aug 26, 2017 6:17 pm Our changes are things like the windows and dealing the toilet and basin around Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 92Aug 26, 2017 6:19 pm Oh sounds nice I wanted grey counter but was thinking too much grey with gloors and splash back grey tiles so went with the white stone withe the greyish stone bits in it. The parchment for cubboards was the dame white as the counter top but so easy for things to shine yellow Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 93Aug 26, 2017 6:21 pm Oh yes, we had to swap our ensuit basin and toilet but lucky that was before plans was drawn. Hickinbotham picked up an issue with it that it was in due to us making corner vanity a full vanity Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 94Aug 26, 2017 7:22 pm tht is why i want some colour in our splashback - i found a toaster the other day that i would like to have the colour of for our splashback!! but we are having tiles not a glass splashback, so probably will be restricted more with colour options. this is the toaster - soft blue/grey colour and looks even nicer IRL http://www.harveynorman.com.au/breville ... anita.html Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 95Aug 26, 2017 7:26 pm our original plans had the toilet and basin around the other way, but the draftsman made a few changes to try and accommodate other requests, but we asked for it to be swapped back (he had swapped the bathroom and laundry) and in swapping back, it was mirror image. Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 96Aug 26, 2017 7:32 pm Nawsome not yet but we have found 4 things we wanted to change on the master plans, so need to get that done before we sign off. Such little niggly stuff, but we want to get it right getting the plans plans right up front is smart. i rushed mine i think and ended up costing me a variation and a 6 week delay to get them modified. It wasn't till i got my master plan sent out that i realised just how to use the dead space behind my garage. Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 97Aug 26, 2017 7:37 pm lovisa I didn't like the polar white colour with the benchtop it looked awefull so wwnt with eggers parchment gloss colour.(more sn iff white i think) mydplash back is light grey and walls is all winter ice (white) so thought yhe off white willbring in another shade thats not just the normsl all same white colour lol 😂 but dont want it to look yellow was originally going to go with a darker color for my splashback but decided with my neutrals/white theme it woudl look odd. eggers white gloss cabinetry with a essastone chalk benchtop woudl have contrasted to much with a dark splashback so i went for a white tile hoping its not going to end up being to much white now though, but at selections the colours seemed to work Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 98Aug 26, 2017 7:47 pm have you looked for inspo pics Entilzha? we found this one which we love the look of the cupboards and counters. http://www.kaboodle.com.au/inspiration- ... sweet-home my unit had white, white and white - i just added lots of pops of colour and it takes awy the whiteness. Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 99Aug 26, 2017 7:56 pm thanks for that. hadn't really looked for pics yet but got a few moths still. will be putting a SS microwave in that area which will break it up a bit plus other bits of colour will really good good based on some of those pictures Planning on going to house opens etc looking for ideas over the next 6 months - both internal and gardening Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 100Aug 26, 2017 8:00 pm definitely fun to look for ideas! this one has a lot more whites - http://www.kaboodle.com.au/inspiration- ... -fresh-air We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37139 The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 19091 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes.
