Browse Forums Building A New House Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 61Jul 29, 2017 9:17 pm How exciting for you - hope that the council is quick and your valuation is nice and high Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 64Aug 02, 2017 6:42 pm Booked in to see builder next week to get master plans - so excited!! Spending way too much time trawling google for ideas for selections. Wanting to stick with fairly neutral palette throughout the house, but then found these tiles and think that they would make such a statement as the splashback in the kitchen!! Probably won't go these (and probably out of budget), but fun to dream!! http://www.beaumont-tiles.com.au/All-Pr ... op&pspid=1 Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 66Aug 02, 2017 7:11 pm that is why i should go neutral - easy to change up over time! the plan at the moment is white cupboards and a grey countertop. maybe this tile could work in the bathroom as the accent tile Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 67Aug 02, 2017 7:29 pm i went parchment gloss cuboards and stone (white/grey) countertops in bathrooms we have dark greey floors white walls and eboney cubbords with black marble counter top. I have that colour for towels snd mats and vases that i will use might evn add a blind in that colour. I didn't want to have colour thats permanently there neutrals is much easier to style with other things for colour and wont date Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 68Aug 08, 2017 11:44 am Met with the builder again to go over the master plan. Few tweaks to go, but so close now. Absolutely chomping at the bit to keep moving forward. Hopefully council application will start next week and fx council don't take too long. We've heard that PAE can take up to 6 months for approval Our sales guy apparently has been using some of our design ideas in other house plans he is drawing and is getting lots of good feedback on it, so fx that means we have a really well designed place. Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 69Aug 17, 2017 10:48 pm Hows things going? We are still waiting for vendor to clean land and provide an adjustment invoice to our conveyancer. They have known since we started stage 3 council approval and its now 2weeks! (Bit slow and driving me crazy) cant be released for building till land settlement:( Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 70Aug 17, 2017 10:55 pm Thanks for thinking of me We just sent our list of working plan variations back to the builder and hoping the get the final working drawings soon so we can finally get onto selections. Feels like this is dragging out so much! Doubt we are going to start build until next year now. Do you know when your land will settle? I'm really looking forward to watching your build come to life Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 71Aug 17, 2017 11:04 pm Hopoing in the next week, but have no date yet. (Our conveyancer said when she gets confirmation of vleaning and adjustments it can settle in 2-4 days from when we pay the adjustments over ) can't believe they have been so drawn out with this. We had formal approval last friday but nothing has happened since (just waiting on vendor to clean thd lot by slashing and removal of rubbish) and fir their conveyancer to send through adjustments(which seems like taking forever) was hoping for s move in before Christmas but now doubtful... maybe early in the new year when builders reopen... Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 72Aug 17, 2017 11:09 pm fx for next week. guessing the weather this week isn't helping any clearing to get done Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 75Aug 17, 2017 11:28 pm Lol trying too but ih man the udea if complete house and land package then to find out ..oh no this is not included Lol then its not complete its more like partial Think if we could have been given estimates to work on and been made aware of theses expenses it would have been more fun... But te drawn out settlement is so far ghe worst can just imagine how it will feel to wait for release to build date snd start. But im sure once we are in our homes we wont think of these issues Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 76Aug 18, 2017 8:23 am so much of this process is waiting. i'm hoping council approval is as fast as yours went, but not hopeful. we've been told 4-6 months Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 77Aug 18, 2017 9:02 am yep all this stress and worry will be long forgotten in 12 months time reckon council approval time depends a lot on location ie faster in new estates but more delays and checks etc in older established areas such as with KDR. If a new house meets the estate requirements and the plans are certified then its pretty much a rubber stamp from council is what i have heard Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 78Aug 18, 2017 9:06 am the good thing about the slow process at the moment is giving us lots of time to check that all the i's have been dotted and the t's crossed. We have found a few things that have been left of inadvertently that we have been able to have written into the variations (and at no additional cost) Re: KDR - custom home in Clearview, SA with ADH 79Aug 24, 2017 5:10 pm We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37142 The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 19096 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13443 |
