Made note of some damage to the slab edge with the Customer service contact which was passed to our site supervisor for fixing. Normally wouldn't be bothered by it if it was in a non critical area, but its in front of the garage entry, so will get it fixed. Received an introduction email from the Site Supervisor, frames to be delivered on the 16th Jan, with a carpenter on site that week. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone. Re: Allworth Carlisle Build In Western Sydney 47Dec 21, 2017 12:29 pm I missed the whole lot of slab updates, it’s looking good. It must feel great to be able to walk over it and visualise each room. I would want my slab fixed at the front of the garage too, it will be driven over every day and have a door going up and down on it. Re: Allworth Carlisle Build In Western Sydney 48Jan 17, 2018 4:29 pm Happy new year to all. Got to meet up with the supervisor on site today, and had a good chat with him. Seems to be a good young bloke, who knows his way around a job site so here's hoping for a nice smooth ride And frames are now onsite with chippy starting tomorrow. Bricks being delivered next week. Hope they are that quick with ours too. Must be so good to be able to walk through and see your house taking shape. Must be so good to be able to walk through and see your house taking shape. It is nice to start to visualise the spaces, and to see the house take shape. Progressing really wel so far, think we might be waiting a week or so for a bricklayer though, apparently they are in short supply at the moment. Re: Allworth Carlisle Build In Western Sydney 55Jan 24, 2018 10:22 pm Wow you are in full swing! Looks great! Re: Allworth Carlisle Build In Western Sydney 56Feb 02, 2018 12:34 pm A week with not much happening has seemed like an eternity given the flying start lol, in fairness bricklayers are hard to come by at the moment in Sydney, so I was expecting a hold up of some sort. Phone call from the lovely wife this morning to inform me that the bricklayers have started on site today, so we are off again Re: Allworth Carlisle Build In Western Sydney 57Feb 02, 2018 7:41 pm Some photos of the brickwork, base course completed around the majority of the perimeter, and starting to take shape at the front. The corbels around the front windows are a nice touch I think. Last photo is of a section of the frame that would be lucky to be 1/2 bearing on the slab. Sent a quick email with the picture to the site supervisor as this was supposed to be addressed already, reminding him that it will be slightly more difficult to fix with a brick wall in the way. We were quoted almost 7k to add a third garage but have decided the study addition will be a better choice to make he most of our 18m frontage. Cheers mrbiggens So with pretty much no movement with coral homes in 3 months, and a change of salesperson, I've pulled the pin with them and signed with Allworth instead. A little disappointed that I've lost 3 months that could have been spent getting further through the admin stage whilst the land registered, but no point crying over spilt milk 😁 I've requested my deposit back from Coral Homes, less the retail cost of the contour survey they had done, have been met with flat refusal at the moment from their sales manager, will wait and see if a more "formal request" vets a different response. New design is a slightly modified Carlisle from Allworth (added a study to the front and increased the size of the WIR and Ensuite).
