Can some one please provide me some advice.
I bought house and land package in Bardia signed contract last year, which was fixed price tender. And now the builder are charging me $5500 more because the fire rating from council came higher and need to upgrade some Of the stuff.
Not sure if I have to pay this price. Has anyone had this issue before.
As it is house+land package, the builder should have done homework on BAL rating. It is not fair for him to pass on the higher charges. What is the BAL rating for your proposed home? I know a case where a homeowner has obtained a zero BAL rating when an existing BAL 12.5 was previously available.
