Someone mentioned on this thread a few days ago saying 12 weeks in council atm. That sounds about right

Still not hatching, I am in 9 weeks with council and awaiting an officer to be allocated. Calling them for few weeks and everyone response is approval can be expected in 16 weeks. As much frustrating it is, can't do much. In this much time, a baby already gets a heart beat, and these idiots can't even go over few designs. Reason is even more pathetic- we are short staffed and many officers are on leave.

CDC takes 2-3 weeks to prepare, it depend on your builder.
CDC lodge to council takes 2-4 weeks.
Total time ranging between 3-6 weeks.

My builder said that CDC approval is all that we need. I wasnt aware of "CDC lodge to council" after CDC.

My builder said that CDC approval is all that we need. I wasnt aware of "CDC lodge to council" after CDC.

CDC is just another company who has qualification from council to do most of the job for them.

CDC applies council rules prior lodging to ease councils job.

Normally you can’t unless the land developer agree and give you the documents you needed

Dont know if you can do CDC before land registration however you can do DA approval via council before land registration.

I dont think you can. For CDC to do your design approval, they need lots of documents regarding your land, especially with easement and sewers.

its only take up to 2 weeks to do CDC approval. But CDC still need to lodge it to council that may takes another 2-3 weeks.

The whole of point release, there are 5 stages, but we were advised in sales office that all of them will be registered simultaneously.
The roads, curbs, streets lights are in place, it's all about council now

I’m still in the planning stage though, my lot isn’t registered yet. For the meantime, I just wanted to compare prices weather or not to include it on my tender. Or could get someone to do it cheaper.
