Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 21, 2017 2:48 pm Just in the process of a new build and have become aware of the tank requirements: - 5,000L retention tank - 6,000L detention tank - 2,000 fire tank Block size is 800sqm. This presents some challenges because it would seem modular tanks are usually 5,000 or less in capacity. This means I will at least need an eye-sore round tank of at least 11,000 and a separate 2,000l tank. The block is a difficult size and slope so I am having difficult finding a suitable location that doesn't impact the amenity of the back yard or result in additional site works. Out of interest how does the council confirm compliance? Do they need to inspect prior to moving in? Re: Does the council check tank compliance?
