We’re really happy with how it’s all coming together... even though outside is slow going! Oh well. You never really feel finished anyway. Lol. The walls have been about $35k I believe. Really happy with the price when you realise the labour that goes into it splitting all that stone! We had 4 guys on site for about 5-6 weeks to get it done. Re: Metricon Trentham Build - The Baby Bordeaux 222Feb 23, 2019 6:25 pm Bethany Thought I should post an update! Here are the plantation shutters in the powder room and bathroom - so difficult to get pictures with the light so I’ve done the best I could... Retaining walls! Had to wait a while to get our guy in for these but worth the wait. They are a sandstone stacked drywall. We absolutely love the look! Since we’ve had it done we’ve decided we actually want to get some more edging done out the front along the entry stairs and to edge garden beds but we will unfortunately have to wait a while until they can get back. In the meantime we have a lot to do but hubby is recovering from a knee reco and I’m over halfway pregnant so it’s going to be slow going anyway. Lol. That bathroom is to die for and looks like a page from House & Garden magazine.😀 Now that you have been in for a while, what is the upkeep like on the Karndean vinyl planks (which look just like real wood incidentally); and have you experienced any gaps at all? Re: Metricon Trentham Build - The Baby Bordeaux 223Feb 25, 2019 12:19 pm Oh thanks Bebbsy! ☺️ We love our vinyl planks! I recommend them to people all the time, they are just so low maintenance and I like not having to stress when I spill stuff on them (they have recovered just fine even when our cat pulled down the scented wax melter thing and hot wax went everywhere... lol). Haven’t had any gaps develop, ours are the ones that can be loose-layed but we got them glued down. Re: Metricon Trentham Build - The Baby Bordeaux 224Feb 26, 2019 9:12 pm Bethany Thanks Ren! He does offer full design service for landscaping too I believe but we’ve done our own design. Yeah it’s an expensive product but I don’t know how difficult it is to lay? I thought it wouldn’t be too bad coz it’s not a floating floor. But I don’t really know these things! Lol.
