Yes sounds like the bedrooms are pretty good if they fit a queen bed comfortably. Re: Metricon Trentham Build - The Baby Bordeaux 203Aug 19, 2018 5:04 pm Hey Bethany, loved reading your topic on your new home it looks amazing. We are also looking at the Trentham 30 after considering the Bordeax 39,although smaller it’s a similar floor plan.Did you see this in a display somewhere?Im trying to work out if the living area is big enough for a 10 seater dining and family area?I also read somewhere that the Master is small although it looks rather a good size to me?Thanks Dom Re: Metricon Trentham Build - The Baby Bordeaux 204Aug 20, 2018 9:01 am snippet Hey Bethany, loved reading your topic on your new home it looks amazing. We are also looking at the Trentham 30 after considering the Bordeax 39,although smaller it’s a similar floor plan.Did you see this in a display somewhere?Im trying to work out if the living area is big enough for a 10 seater dining and family area?I also read somewhere that the Master is small although it looks rather a good size to me?Thanks Dom Thanks! We loved the Bordeaux but we definitely didn’t want a house that big. Unfortunately no displays of the Trentham, we really liked the floorplan and I have to say we’re not at all disappointed with the layout. I’m not sure about a 10-seater, what size is that? We only have a 6-seater which is probably undersized for the area. Before we moved I used to measure in our old house how similar or different the room sizes were compared to the floorplan measurements and it helped me to figure that sort of thing out a bit. We find the master fine in size for us, but it doesn’t have extra areas like study nooks or retreat rooms like some of the big displays. I’m uploading some pics today so that will help show size a bit better. Re: Metricon Trentham Build - The Baby Bordeaux 205Aug 20, 2018 9:26 am Time for an update. We have just been plodding along doing things slowly since we moved in... Which wasn’t the plan at all but we’ve been happy with that. Haha. So far we’ve put up some sheer curtains and blinds behind them just in the front bedrooms. Put in a letterbox. Put in all the toilet roll holders and towel rails. Epoxy-ed the garage floor. And the most exciting... Lights have been installed! We’re going with shutters for all our wet areas and they are on order so about 6 weeks away I think. Nearly all of our furniture is what we already had, only bought chairs for hubby’s den. We’ve just started our Metricon maintenance and have to say so far they have been Metricon’s best department. Lol. Most of their jobs aren’t real maintenance but all the fix-ups that should have been sorted before handover but they’ve been great. Now for photo spam! It really is worth the premium price tag, it looks so good & is so family friendly. Glad you're enjoying it all & everything is going smoothly with maintenance. Re: Metricon Trentham Build - The Baby Bordeaux 216Aug 24, 2018 7:32 am Margin Hi Bethany, the ensuite looks great and well done on the house. What stone is on the ensuite vanity? Hi Margin, thanks! The stone is Caesarstone Symphony Grey. It’s really lovely, bit of marble veining and little glitter flecks. The digital colour swatch of it on the Caesarstone website is way off so just ignore that. Lol. Re: Metricon Trentham Build - The Baby Bordeaux 217Aug 26, 2018 4:18 pm Looks amazing. Very well furnished as well. Did have to purchased everything new or you reuse it from the old house? Love the bottle of whisky on the table too. Great touch. Re: Metricon Trentham Build - The Baby Bordeaux 218Aug 26, 2018 8:20 pm Renman Looks amazing. Very well furnished as well. Most of it has come from the old house, just those chairs in the room with the whiskey are a new addition. I thought I would want nearly all new stuff (too much time obsessing over display homes... lol) but once everything was in it just felt like home and we were pretty happy with it all. Retaining walls! Had to wait a while to get our guy in for these but worth the wait. They are a sandstone stacked drywall. We absolutely love the look! Since we’ve had it done we’ve decided we actually want to get some more edging done out the front along the entry stairs and to edge garden beds but we will unfortunately have to wait a while until they can get back. In the meantime we have a lot to do but hubby is recovering from a knee reco and I’m over halfway pregnant so it’s going to be slow going anyway. Lol.
