Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 13, 2017 10:07 pm Does anyone know approx how much it would cost to render a 2 story home? Building with Arden and thinking we would prefer to render the house rather than upgrade the bricks. Worried it will be very expensive. Just don't know about a grey weatherboard/rendered front facade and then bricks for rest of house in different colour. Re: Cost to render 9May 15, 2017 1:02 pm Izee We're planning on doing rendered features just on the front facade. The builder quoted us $7,000 just for rendered features such as columns and balcony. We're also upgrading bricks for $6,000. Thanks. Think tender is out based on cost and cheaper to upgrade the bricks. Thanks everyone! Hi Ezza, Hebel is one of those new building materials made out of lightweight autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC). You can see it in their displays in Wollert and Roxburgh park. If you opt for Hebel they wouldn't use bricks and you'd automatically get a rendered finish. I had a chat with the builder, he said he will use primer, then hydrotec which comes with colour and sealer as well.
