Browse Forums Building A New House Re: First build in SE Melbourne 22Jun 02, 2017 11:00 pm aloenyx Do go down. I regret that I didn't get to see my house at slab stage, by the time I got to see it it was already at frame. Yeah, they said frames would be started this week, so I would like to see it before then and before I pay! I so badly want this build to go quickly, I just need my house already! Re: First build in SE Melbourne 25Jun 03, 2017 4:48 pm aloenyx Yay! Looks good Haha, it seemed so tiny! Hoping once the walls are up it might seems bigger 🤞 Re: First build in SE Melbourne 27Jun 03, 2017 4:59 pm aloenyx How many squares is your house? I find that slab can feel either big or small, frame always feels small, plaster feels bigger, and then once painting, carpet.. looks much bigger! It's about 16sq. Haha I was hoping frames would make it feel bigger! Anyway I don't mind too much, it's bigger than the tiny bedroom I'm living in at the moment! Re: First build in SE Melbourne 29Jun 03, 2017 5:15 pm aloenyx Mine is 16sq too It will feel huge soon enough. Frames is fun, you get a feel for the layout. Can't wait for frames. I haven't been into a display of my house, I bought if off the plan so have no real feel of what it will be like. Re: First build in SE Melbourne 30Jun 04, 2017 1:37 pm Congrats on your slab!!! Re: First build in SE Melbourne 34Jun 05, 2017 7:53 am That's looks awesome! Belated congratulations for the slab! Re: First build in SE Melbourne 37Jun 18, 2017 3:59 pm Got a bit of a surprise; all the windows in the living area and master bedroom are double glazed. That will be great for insulation and noise. And what a bonus on the free double glazing. Thanks Dawn. I wasn't actually expecting any progress so I was happy. Pleased with the free glazing too. I bought my house off a plan so it was great to be able to walk through and get a feel for the layout and room size ect.
