Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 21Jun 17, 2017 5:15 pm We though about the comfort pick but The blinds are rollers and fly screens are pretty cheap. We've priced Flooring already and we're saving. Which house are you doing? The convenience of having it done now would be nice though Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 23Jun 18, 2017 2:15 am We are currently building Nevada 25 with domaine home. I was wrong with the 13k figure. It will coast 13k+2k for tilling in alfresco(total 15k) for comfort pack from domaine. Phil94, what type of flooring are you doing from outside, is it porcelin tiles? Is that saving $$$ you mentioned before includes the coasting for blinds, flyscreens and carpets for bedrooms as well? Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 24Jun 18, 2017 10:06 am You only get ceramic tiles in the comfort pack. You need comfort lux for porcelain. Yes we've had quotes for Venetian blinds, better carpet and porcelain tiles inside with travertine on the alfresco and we're still ahead Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 32Jun 30, 2017 3:08 pm Recently received the tender from Domaine homes. We are tatally shocked. They are charging $35000 extra for site coast. $11000 just to step down the garage. 5500 for soil removal. And so much hidden costs. I'm not sure what to do. Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 35Jul 01, 2017 3:58 pm But we were told there would be no extra cost for soil removal as they have not quoted in the tender for any limitations or variations for removal of excess soil Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 36Jul 01, 2017 7:53 pm Whoever did the estimation for my contract, did it all wrong. I think thwy did not spend a good amount of time on it. When I add all the additional site coasts it comes $28000, but on the total amount it shows &35000. It is totally disappointing. Couldn't expect from domaine homes. If they provide these sorts of poor services in tender stage, what will be the quality of the building stage, I really doubt. I don't know now should I continue with domaine home or look for other builder? If any of you have any suggestions, pls tell me. Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 37Jul 01, 2017 9:53 pm I thought they were transparent and there was not any hidden costs. If something like this comes up for us, it will be the greatest disappointed as they said they pride in their fixed tender and transparency Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 38Jul 03, 2017 10:42 am Phil94 That's what we're doing. Domaine are doing the ducting and droppers and the unit after h/o. can you share where you getting the air con done after handover? Want an estimated quote for it.. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 77572 I would never build with Fowler homes.
