Do you know which brand of laminate they use please? Hi, Did you do your flooring through Domaine. If yes did the laminate go under the skirting or have the put a beading? Thanks Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 104Apr 14, 2020 10:31 am Phil94 Sorry. We did tiles and carpet. I’d say they would use scotia all the displays with laminate have it. Yeh did see some photos and asked people who built with them on fb. Got the answer before questioning them. Thank you very much & stay safe Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 105Apr 16, 2020 7:23 pm Kery_deep Phil94 Sorry. We did tiles and carpet. Thank you very much & stay safe I am building with Domaine as well and we haven’t reached the flooring stage yet. Is there a way for us to avoid scotia? My cabinets on island in kitchen are black and this will look crap with scotia. Have they told you that we have to ask earlier? Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 107Apr 16, 2020 7:52 pm Phil94 Do flooring after handover and do exactly what you want. It will be hard to do after so decided to go ahead with them. Though wanted to do carpets by ourselves later but they said in that case they will not do any floor or skirting! They pretty rigid with their rules Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 108Apr 17, 2020 5:50 am df21 Kery_deep Phil94 Sorry. We did tiles and carpet. Apparently this is how they work. They even won’t leave the skirting out if you want to do after handover. Ours is a very tiny house 170 sqm for investment & the Skotia in the small rooms was not what was expecting, that’s the reason was looking around before questioning them. You can check with them & stick to your ground to try and get it your way maybe. I read it’s at extra cost to do flooring first and then add the skirting. Can give it a go. Re: Domaine homes by clerondon 111Apr 28, 2020 7:15 am Hi, We are looking at building Nevada 25 in the Hunter region. Read through this forum and the response for Domaine seems to be pretty positive. Can anyone else who has finished their builds share their experience? We are not too familiar with the entire process as this would be our first home. Where could we cut corners in terms of cost savings? Doing stuff ourself? Is the Rinnai ducted air con they're installing any good? We are just getting the ducting done by them and will install the aircon later by ourselves as the one they are providing was not good enough for us as you can’t run ground floor and first floor at the same time. Hi df21, Thanks for your reply We are looking at building a Nevada 25 so first floor wouldn't be an issue for us. I'm assuming this would still include the same 14.7kw system so therefore would be enough for a single storey home?
