I know you said you weren’t going to push it but have they actually said why this is taking so long? Hopefully some movement soon! Yeah they have, although its not good enough (imo) one reason was SS is away due to illness but we were told that from the start and never actually delt with him, so possibly he was just working behind the scenes. Apparently the stairs manufacturing place had broken equipment for a week too. But going by my timestamps on here continuous work stopped around the second week of August and we just got random jobs here or there done. I ended up emailing him and a work associate on Sunday and got a reply and a barrage of calls texts and emails on monday lmao We spoke yesterday and this is the scheudle: This week: Stairs; Possibly kitchen late this week or early next, I assume painting will get done this week Next week: Kitchen if not started this week, also tiling will start this week (I also assume he means all flooring as we only have tiles in the wet area) Driveway to be done in the next 2 weeks or so, then onto elec and plumbing fit offs. In other news though..... WE HAVE STAIRS!!! I hope they keep to the schedule for you. You have been so patient. I would have been a mess to be honest! These last few weeks with our house being pretty much ready except for some small things have been hard enough. I hope the progress is continuous from now on though and they smash it out! I am not patient at all, but what else can you do but wait? I really hope they smash it out too, it sounds like we should be in before xmas Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - WEEK 23 - STAIRS 209Nov 19, 2017 1:37 am Quick update (even though there isn't much to say) Poles for the stairs got installed this week, and stairs have all been framed and plastered up too, otherwise SFA has been done >_> Meeting with the builder on Monday, I feel sorry for him already I took annual leave this upcoming week (have to book it 6 weeks in advance) based off the stupid timeline he gave us, i assumed we would get keys or whatever around this time so booked it for that. Obviously not going to happen so now I have a week off for nothing, woo hoo. Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - WEEK 25 210Nov 20, 2017 12:05 am So sorry allblaqk! I bet they will say that the suppliers are giving them trouble... I bet they will say that the suppliers are giving them trouble... We met with our builder today. There have been some supply issues but basically he said there has been 2 months worth of family drama, his site supervisor having cancer also and hes just been flat out. He said basically theres two houses of his that have fallen behind and thats us and another couple. He does feel really bad about it, and he said being a double storey doesn't help. He said there that we won't be in before Christmas (which is fine - I can't take leave in Dec/Jan so its better for me this way) but we will be looking at Late Jan- Early Feb for handover. The kitchen sink he ordered for us has come in with a huge fracture and its a 4 week wait for a new one. The first drop of the cabinetry for the kitchens/bathrooms/laundry were faulty pattern so it has all had to be reordered. These will be finally going in this week or next. He said they were all made and ready to go he just has to organise delivery. They are going to do the cabinets, then the tiling/flooring then the painting. I assume this will all be done before xmas shut down. They will also be doing the driveway this week or next also, again issues with the supplier. The colour we picked is no longer made so we had to pick a new colour (which is fine because i'd changed my mind lol) Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - WEEK 25 213Nov 20, 2017 6:55 pm Peter112 You had such a good start, don't know what happened to them now. Yeah just a whole bunch of sh*t happened at once I think, we should be ok now Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - WEEK 25 214Nov 20, 2017 7:13 pm Oh wow allblaqk...
