I really love the lighting and it’s awesome to see your black bath, we have one in our main bath but I haven’t seen one installed . I hope there is a hive of activity next week so you can get your keys Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly The 304Feb 09, 2018 12:20 pm Tribe7 Congrats Allblaqk your house is killing it. I hope there is a hive of activity next week so you can get your keys Thanks Tribe I love my bath, I had to have it. I'm really happy with how the lighting has all turned out too, most of the pendants were around $200 each so quite reasonable, and look amazing! Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly The 305Feb 09, 2018 2:59 pm I feel the same about the bath . Where did you shop for pendants? I’m dying looking at lights i can’t stay motivated when looking and everything I fancy is way to expensive Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly The 306Feb 09, 2018 3:07 pm Tribe7 I feel the same about the bath . Where did you shop for pendants? I’m dying looking at lights i can’t stay motivated when looking and everything I fancy is way to expensive I don't even like having baths! I'll have to train myself to like them. I bought a whole bunch of Lush bath bombs in the sales so that will help. The kitchen one was from freedom, the one in the powder room was from bunnings (they have some really nice lights) and the hall way ones were from ebay, they are a moooi replica. First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly There! 307Feb 09, 2018 3:35 pm I am showing my husband your reply tonight as I don’t like baths either and have a free standing bath in our ensuite too I have to learn to like them also, that’s a good idea with the lush products they smell incredible. I’ll have to go back to indooroopilly shopping centre and get some more lush things. I did look at the bunnings lights at West ipswich when I came up to town a few weeks back and really liked that they had. I did see the Raymond Moooi pendants they looks stunning. I haven’t seen freedom ones, which freedom do you go to? Your only 40 mins away from me. Luckily my husband didn't care about the bath because the thinks "it looks cool" I got the bath and he got the undermount sink so happy days. I'll probably only use it once. We went to the freedom at Logan, where Ikea is. They had it on display and we were there getting some other stuff. I wanted the Orion pendant from Beacon for the kitchen but he hated it. So we both compromised on the freedom one because it was so much cheaper. I like it better now anyway so its worked out well This is the one I wanted originally Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly The 309Feb 09, 2018 4:02 pm Hi allblaqk, your build looks amazing! Love the laminate, cabinet and wall colours especially. Do you still have the blue-ish render outside? We drive along your street on the way out when gawking at other people's choices and while the blue stands out I think it looks really nice. With you on the lack of green thumb but we'll be sucking it up and doing ours by ourselves, or maybe with help from parents! Hopefully not too much longer to go and you can finally move in Coral Homes Avoca 20, Providence, Ripley QLD Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly The 310Feb 09, 2018 4:05 pm watto82 Hi allblaqk, your build looks amazing! Yeah thats us, the blue house. We are actually getting it changed though, I don't like it. Well, I like it, but its very blue. Lol. We should be in soon, when we are i'll invite you around if you like Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly The 311Feb 09, 2018 6:26 pm Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly The 312Feb 09, 2018 6:50 pm Oh I should also add the random patches of paint on the render are from us testing colours. We couldn't settle on one so we are winging it with half strength Basalt (the roof is basalt) Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly The 313Feb 09, 2018 6:54 pm the new colour will look good - you guys are so lucky you can make changes this close to hand over. Was landscaping expensive to include? Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly The 314Feb 09, 2018 7:00 pm gr8ly the new colour will look good - you guys are so lucky you can make changes this close to hand over. Was landscaping expensive to include? Yeah, one good thing about our build being so far behind his normal time frame is we can change stuff. Like I asked last week if they can paint a feature wall for free and he said yes, just supply the paint - winning! Our builder actually asked us about the render colour. Apparently the painters keep asking if we really wanted to keep it. I didn't hate it but hey if they change it for free I wont stop them He's being very generous. But i'm sure he said they don't charge a variation fee anyway. Landscaping was 4k. For what I want (grass + rock), we probably overpaid but like I've said before I'm not about to do it lol. I think that's very reasonable - looks like you have a massive yard, so it's super cheap! meanwhile your builder is awesome! at some point i need to check out your estate Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Wk 37 Nearly The 318Feb 09, 2018 10:05 pm allblaqk watto82 Hi allblaqk, your build looks amazing! Coral Homes Avoca 20, Providence, Ripley QLD Re: First Home - Custom Design in Ipswich - Landscaping Star 320Feb 13, 2018 11:19 pm Landscaping has started, turf on Wednesday hopefully - depends on the weather! Anyone with acreage on here will laugh at me but holy cow the backyard looks massive now that its tidy! And we finally picked a new render colour - Colourbond Windspray. Only took 5 test pots - We choose basalt half strength but apparent they couldn't mix it half so we had to change it again. So excited to no longer be "the blue house" Certifier is coming Monday and blinds going in next week - Handover will be week of the 26th someday. WOO!
