Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 2Jan 03, 2014 8:11 am We've chosen this brick but unfortunately haven't commenced construction yet Phone Austral and ask for an address listing of that brick in your region and they will provide it. Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 3Jan 04, 2014 9:36 pm I got some addresses and it's strange because not one of the houses look the same! They all differ so much. Makes it hard to choose...Even my builder gave me the address of a house they did in that brick and once again it looks different! Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 4Jan 05, 2014 12:02 am At some point Austral stopped sourcing this brick from Queensland. Something along the lines of it having too much iron content resulting in rust stains after extended water exposure. These days it's cooked in NSW and looks slightly different. But yeah, I agree, this brick changes drastically based mainly on sunlight exposure. Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 11Jan 07, 2014 8:58 pm Spoken to sales office 3 months ago, austral slightly changed the colour for pepper bricks. Good news is if its chipped out, wont see the brown ends. Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 13Jan 07, 2014 9:05 pm Nicki I was used pgh sorbetto, If you want get the address and drive pass to the completed houses, Gery with white theme i was choose. Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 14Jan 08, 2014 8:50 pm oh thats interesting to know. Does that mean the bricks are browner to look at also? MA0074, how do you find the white windows go with all the surfmist? does it clash at all? Im thinking of doing very similar. Cameron I love the grey and white theme - its what we are going for also. Just trying to get the right grey! and yes we have gotten the address for completed houses and they all look different! Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 15Jan 08, 2014 9:13 pm We went Dune Roof/Gutter/Garage. Surmist windows/post with bond white eaves. Jasper downpipes to match brick. Surfmist crimsafe security door. Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 16Jan 08, 2014 9:56 pm nicki_p oh thats interesting to know. Does that mean the bricks are browner to look at also? I was used Brick- pgh sorbetto Roof- monier barramundi Facia, windowns, garage, down pipes, water tank,eaves- surfmist Mortar- off white Where and whom you building with!! Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 17Feb 08, 2014 7:55 am We are in the middle of colour selection now. Brick: pepper Roof/gutter: dune?? Facia:surfmist Windows: surfmist The roof seems to be our hardest decision. Does anyone have the same combination of colours and willing to share a photo? We are really torn between light and dark roof. Every time we put a dark roof sample up against the bricks it just doesn't look right! Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 18Feb 08, 2014 8:00 am second choice of my bricks was pepper bricks, Barramundi roof tiles, go with surfmist facia, garage, windows, front door, down pipes. Re: Austral urban one range in pepper 20Feb 12, 2014 3:10 pm Raemit - I don't have any pics but I think contrast looks nice between brick and roof so I would go with a light roof with the pepper. JMO though While this is bumped can those of you who have built with the Urban One range would you say it's a good quality brick and are you happy with the decision? I'm thinking of going with the Urban One Chiffon for our build but want to find out if it's OK quality before going ahead! Thanks! Very common on rendered homes Smaller suppliers get the lower quality raw materials 6 11869 4 14309 That is a really good attitude Akin to you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I do enjoy watching that tik tok inspector from Victoria but he does go a little… 12 81896 |
