Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with firstyle - Silkwood 20.7 3May 09, 2017 10:37 pm my fiancé and I were looking at homes for months everything so expensive in different areas . We finally settle in willowdale Vulcan ridge . We really knew the house was for us was we wanted privacy and the 20.7 was it . the master is at the back of the house which suited us great and was a corner block so only 1 neighbor. We are quite happy where we have brought. Re: Building with firstyle - Silkwood 20.7 4May 19, 2017 5:05 pm Went and chose our colours today so much to look at. We only have our standard range and want to upgrade some things , It is pretty pricey to upgrade something's like we want a wood grain laminex for feature cupboard in kitchen so u r looking at about 700 for cubooards . So we decided to just go mostly standard stuff and upgrade stuff ourselves like taps Etc. Going to electrical on Monday , does anyone no prices at all from Clipsal just want to get an idea wat they will be charging for down lights etc. If anyone can help it would be great. Re: Building with firstyle - Silkwood 20.7 6May 22, 2017 8:04 am "So we decided to just go mostly standard stuff and upgrade stuff ourselves like taps Etc. " Is it worthwhile doing these yourself? I have been told the amount you save with changing these is minimal. Re: Building with firstyle - Silkwood 20.7 8May 23, 2017 5:28 pm So here is our electrical plan we went to Clipsal and selected our light . It took 3 hours and a lot of stress there are a few things we wanted more but cost was an issue. So 3 in 1 barthroom heat lights they are charging $330 installed and you can get at any light store $ 79 and get in stored later etc. so that's an example of price difference. So I decided to contact firstyle and tel them finally Clipsal contacted us and after telling them they left the dimmers out they have proceded to charge us $250 for another consultation we have complained about this and said they will take care of it . People make sure wen you do electrical or internals that you take your time and get everything you need cause everything cost extra if u change ur mind .
