All houses get this and it remains on the house for it's life. Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Rough in.... 283Dec 09, 2017 7:18 am Bri1234 A very big day for you today. So much happening. Looks great wrapped up. You are still just ahead of us, lol. Bri - it's starting to look like a house more and more each day. Going for a look today Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Rough in.... 284Dec 11, 2017 6:03 pm Thank goodness for some sunshine, site is a bit drier not much but best thing, dry enough to be fully wrapped up. I have a big blue house...... Not only that but there was a tribe of brickies onsite when I went to site today to check if the wrapping was completed as the Postie didn't provide me with any updates. He's too busy lately playing Santa. On the garage side they have bricked, all the way along that side of the house, about half way up the first floor. Bless these guys working in this mud. Speaking with the brickies, that said that they will be finished Wednesday, - WOW!! 😮😮😮😮 or at the very least on Thursday morning Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Pre-plaster inspection tomorrow - hubby will be onsite with Darbecca and I'll be completing a walkthrough with our SS on Friday. I have my list of defects which I have no doubt will be added to tomorrow and we will be going thru each and ever one of them. On a Christmas note - I have put up the tree this year over the weekend - took me so long to do..... it's very sad but in our little rental I couldn't find a place for our normal tree, so it went back into storage. My daughter and I bought a new one with all new ornaments. Don't you just love it <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 The big question in our house is - Mum, are the presents going to match the tree? Answer - only Santa knows the answer that question. We have two teenagers. hehehehehehe Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Rough in.... 285Dec 11, 2017 6:09 pm Rachael13 Thank goodness for some sunshine, site is a bit drier not much but best thing, dry enough to be fully wrapped up. Sounds like the brickies are fast workers. Good luck with your inspection and walk through. Lol. Love the tree. We managed to find a spot for ours. But in this rental we have a window seat with a big window. The girls insisted we get some extra decorations to make a Christmas window. Lol We’ll have a window seat in the new house where we’ll be able to set them up next year too. Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Rough in.... 286Dec 11, 2017 6:30 pm I'm gutted that there is no space for the tree as I love Christmas. Which just means next year is going to be HUGE! I will wrap tiny presents to suit the tree tho.. Enjoy your decorating - add some tinsel just for me See we just got the wrong house - no bathtub and no room for a tree. Oh forgot to add we got invoiced on Friday. WAH!!! Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 287Dec 11, 2017 6:59 pm Lol. We got a huge bath. It’s too big to use regularly. Think of next year and that big tree (o: Yikes, is that the lock up invoice? I’m not looking forward to that one. Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 288Dec 12, 2017 10:35 am Those Brickies must be on fast forward. That’s awesome news that they’re gonna finish so soon. Unfortunately we are living with the in laws and our tree doesn’t fit in their house so we are using there’s which is a mini me version of ours . Keep posting as many pics as you can Rachel, we get excited as it’s a snapshot to what our house may look like. Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 289Dec 12, 2017 6:30 pm Nah Firsttime - they are prince of promises and weren't on site today I'm wondering if this is due to our pre-plaster inspection going ahead today. I'll keep the pics coming ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pre - plaster report still has 12 items to be addressed from the last three inspections and we get to add another 15. Total of 27 at the moment. Whilst on site for the pre-plaster inspection hubby took some additional photos of the bricking. I'm concerned with the bricking in the garage and have raised this when I sent over our pre-plaster report tonight. Garage bricking - not sure why the boundary fence has not been removed to brick this. It's very attractive - Not what I would call display home standard..... Wow That garage wall, are they doing it from the inside? Do they clear it up on the outside later? Has your lap pool dried up today? Ours isn't looking too bad today. Hopefully it stays dry for a bit. SS said once we lock up they come back on site, clean it up and bring in some more dirt/soil to back fill. Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 291Dec 13, 2017 5:36 pm No bricking today Bri - too hot. They are doing the garage from the inside, don't know how they are going to clean up for the outside as they told me today that they are not planning on removing the fence. Lap pool photo is from yesterday and it's still muddy today. The brickies did throw down some mortar into the water but...... I'm glad yours is drying out, and that you have been provided info for what they are going to do later. How was your walkthrough? Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 292Dec 13, 2017 9:38 pm Yeah can't blame them, it was hot. Thankfully tomorrows weather has been revised to 25. I thought they did something like acid washing them to clean them up?! LOL ours still looks soft. The guys have thrown down bit and pieces of wood offcuts etc to step on. Walk through went well. Turns out we've had some delays due to thefts. Guys have been turning up to work to find timber stolen. But from what I got from the chat, defects should be sorted in the next couple of days (as long as nothing else is stolen I'm assuming. Brickie is going to start and work through till Christmas. Powerpoints in the garage will be moved up, yay. Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 293Dec 15, 2017 6:02 am 13 Weeks ago we were handed to Constructions stage. Have walkthrough with SS today so we'll go over the house. Am actually looking forward to finally meeting our SS. Wish him luck LOL Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 294Dec 15, 2017 6:22 am Rachael13 13 Weeks ago we were handed to Constructions stage. Yeah good luck to him, sounds like he’s going to need it, lol Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 295Dec 15, 2017 12:59 pm Met our SS today and we went through Darbecca's last report, which was great. There are a few items that won't be fixed till later in the build, I get this and these items are; water management which is an ongoing item, roof alignment will be fixed once the scaffolding is installed for the brickies. Gutter and fascia damage will be fixed before handover. Structural issues are all fixed as well as framing. Plumber needs to come back to check why the storm water is not draining and put CCTV down the pipes.. Insulation guys were onsite packing the walls and roof cavity, and ensuring that the wrapping was all water tight as there were sections missing and gaps. Brickies were no where to be seen, but should have been onsite according to the SS. Whilst the garage wall is being bricked overhanded, the outside wall will be washed down with the rest of the house. I'll need to contact the neighbours closer to the time as the brick washers will need to be on their property and hang over the fence for this to be done Some of the tradies will be working through the Christmas period but SS is taking time out. Asking for an estimate timeframe for completion and we are looking at the house being ready in May. I reckon that this is better than July. I did almost drool when I saw the bath hob in the ensuite.... Few pics What will eventually be the kitchen with butlers pantry on the left. We have narrowed it down to Spotted Gum for the laminate and we are still in love with the salt n pepper carpet for upstairs. What we need to do now is work on the brands that we like and then compare prices. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This afternoon we went to a furniture studio to review fabric chesterfields and have a colour consultant assist us, I'm hopeless at putting colours together. We ending up buying what we wanted. Couches are very comfy, hubby approved for the depth of the seat, and I get the softer look for the chesterfields. What we are a little unsure of is whether we want the round ottoman or to change it to a square tufted one. I'm thinking of keeping the round ottoman as I can put this into my dressing room and we can get the square ottoman later for the lounge. We bought two chairs in linen, two 3.5 seaters couches in velvet, and the round ottoman also in linen, colours as below. They will be ready for delivery in 13 weeks, and might be able to be held for another 6 after that. I'm hoping that these are delayed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So this will be our "extra" Christmas present to each other...... 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻 We also had to go past the house as stalkers do and majority of the installation is completed. Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 297Dec 17, 2017 10:28 am Loving the couches, very nice. We need to go looking after Christmas. Flooring choices look great. Love the spotted gum. Hope the rest of the issues with the build are sorted soon. Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 298Dec 19, 2017 4:54 am Bricking and plastering is now happening on site. Our front piers had to be torn down as the bricking was not correct and they have restarted again. Our SS has had to go back to the powers to be, as the foil was not installed on our external garage wall and the insulation batts have been installed. As this is a 6 star energy requirement, there is no way that it can be left like this. This is the little piece that told us there was no foil on this wall . . I'm a little concerned on the velvet for the couches but I think that I'm just over thinking the furniture. Hoping that it's not to heavy in the new lounge. The chairs are in linen so that should be ok. I didn't think that I'd be this concerned with what the couches look like, as I never have before. lol Re: KDR - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 - Bricking! 300Dec 20, 2017 7:12 pm With the rain last night our lap pool is back... Plasters are in the house and I think that they have hung everything upstairs. They have started the ceiling in the open plan area downstairs and also the butlers pantry.. Bricking continues SS is trying to get the house to lock up before the break but has advised us that tradies will continue to work over the next few weeks, even though Henley is going on holidays.
