Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Big digger with screw bit has arrived, This can only mean that the concreter is available and the start of 30 piers to go in. By close of Friday we are half way there with the piers and yes I took pics of them all. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ But the block still looks the same.. but is two tippers lighter with dirt removed from the site. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our private inspectors checked in with our SS, and we are scheduled for pre-pour inspection to be completed on Wednesday. Bit by bit the house is being built. Is it wrong to be excited by concrete filled holes???? - LOL Yay, how exciting. Some action. I'd be excited by the holes too, lol. This process is taking so long I get excited by any step forward. How nice of your neighbour to send you pictures. Re: Knock Down Rebuild - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 208Oct 27, 2017 10:35 am Inspection went really well. Issues were fixed onsite, just minor things and the final one was fixed before the pour. Not sure on how long the slab will sit but the construction update is that they will commence on the frame. No date mentioned when they are starting but we have been told that framing can start at any time as it's not load bearing. And we received the first invoice today. Talk about efficient Finance department. HAHAHAHAHA. Will review and get that scanned to the bank over the weekend. Now we have two mortgages and paying rent. God help us. Oh and we are going lounge shopping this weekend to see what we like and how much we are going to have to spend for two lounge rooms to be decked out. Looking forward to this part of the process, already have had Plush send me material samples this week. Looking forward to this part of the process, already have had Plush send me material samples this week. That's great. I've just been emailing with our building inspectors to confirm that we want a pre pour inspection done. Haven't actually met our SS but planning to email CRC on Monday if I haven't heard any more and find out if we are supposed to meet him and confirm he knows about our private inspections. Oh that's great they don't have to wait on the frame. LOL yep they are quick with invoices. I've already started that too. I think I've found the sofa bed I want for our bed 4 / study. Going to wait a bit longer to think about new lounges for the main living area. Havent' decided on a layout yet. Re: Knock Down Rebuild - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 210Oct 27, 2017 1:22 pm When we built with Simonds, our CRC setup a pre-build meeting and we met the SS at Simonds offices, so I'm hoping that you get the same. We're hunting for a sofa bed for my study, as it will be used as a guest room as well as the library - do share what you've found, as I want something that is comfortable as a bed but also a couch for reading. That’s what we were expecting too but there’s been no mention of it since our contract appt. if I haven’t heard by Monday I’ll email CRC to enquire. I just went looking online and it doesn’t seem to be available now. )o: It was IKEA. The size was just right for the space. A nice dusty pink colour that would have gone well in that room. And a removable, washable cover so perfect for the kids to sit on and read etc. Oh well. I hadn’t actually checked it out for comfort yet anyway. Re: Knock Down Rebuild - Henley Reserve (MainVue) - Aegean38 212Nov 02, 2017 6:03 pm It's been similar to watching paint dry for the past week. Took a spin past the block yesterday and there were some deliveries made during the day. Some wood, 1 bag of batts - that made me laugh. So here I was thinking that as the power is not connected yet, that we would be waiting awhile for work to start on the frame. Imagine my shock when hubby sent me these pics this morning. Chippys are doing an amazing job. 👏 We don't have dates for the next inspection for slab\framing but I'm not concerned. I have sent a follow up email to our admin to remind her that we do need some warning, so estimated date would be good. I have to say that the Henley portal is a little lacking compared to the Simonds one that we have previously, that had estimated dates. Updates are also on the light side as our last update was 26 Oct. At least we live close and can see the progress for ourselves. As long as the workmanship continues, we'll go get own updates directly from the house :😁😁 Can't wait to see the progress for the rest of the week.
