Be interesting to see if you have the letters OBS next to the window in question (means obscured). A few of our minor mistakes were like this, one thing in contract and something else on plans. Re: JG King Lexington 240 - wrapped and gutters 46Jun 04, 2017 9:30 pm so emailed SS at 7:40 Sunday night, 8:10 he replied that he will check it and get it re glazed. too easy. We loved that kitchen too. I look forward to seeing the slab grey laid, we gave that and the lighter cretement (ash white?) serious consideration. The bathroom glazing is one thing I half expected to go wrong, we changed both and it seems to be a common mistake. Turned out to be one of the very few things that has gone right Re: JG King Lexington 240 - wrapped and gutters - now in col 49Jun 04, 2017 11:10 pm yeah we were hard pressed between them, and if were were in an estate/less light would ahve gone it. I'm really hoping it works as expected. I'm hoping that windows will be open during the day filling house with light so didn't want t go light. same as growing up only bedroom windows were closed at night otherwise house was always open, so darker worked. I'm going with saying we are inspired by industrial look...better half says she was inspired by her cat... either way we are both happy and that the main thing. re the window this was the only bathroom one we kept clear. assuming kids come along wanted more privacy there, but we are planning a garden with screen outside the ensuite, and we had this coming into the colours meeting. And we have translucent in the bathroom, it feels a bit strange in there with a big window that you can't see out of, but I didn't want a blind in there. I'm sure it just feels weird because displays are always clear and our current house is old so only has tiny obscure windows. Our tile girl at beaumonts said her sister had slab grey in her house and she loved it! I'm sure it will look great, one of my favorite displays had our kitchen colours with a mid-dark grey tile, I was very tempted but stuck with light because we are quite closed in. Solar panels up on roof (so guessing the roof rail will be going soon) wall insulation in (and we got there priro to plaster so could check it all happy about that as it was meant to be next Monday then plaster Tuesday so was not going to see it. doors and some other cabinetry arrived Also looks like they started setting up the HWS from the original plans, then realized it had been moved to the back of the house so have re done oh and bricks have been dropped off, this gave me a heart attack, was driving up the house saw them there and instant thought was, OMG they look cheap and nasty. get up to a closer look and they ahd been laid out with the base facing out not the coloured face. Such a relief, the ones in the sun look just what we hoping. Word from the SS last night as well for plan for next 3 weeks Plaster starting Wednesday bricks mid week Water under road bore and run in this week Kitchen booked for 30/6-4/7 even better were told he is now working towards a mid Sept finish Considering at start was late Oct/Early Nov I am stoked, Seems due to the new 20K FHOG for rural that been less contracts signed recently so he has plenty of access to the tradies he wants at his times. win win. And the communication!!! I can only dream. What week are you up to? We've just started week 15 and have no idea what is booked past the bricks. Electrical rough in is meant to happen during bricks, they won't want to wait too much longer they'll be at the top of the side with the lights in a day or two. Re: JG King Lexington 240 -plumbing/electric/ducting/solar/b 55Jun 18, 2017 10:22 am just into week 9 with and expected 12 "solid weeks" so working on a 5 month build..... I'm positive that the Sewage treatment plant will delay us, as that vendor is hard to deal with, so will see. but fingers crossed JG King Lexington 240 Acreage build https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87762 Re: JG King Lexington 240 -plumbing/electric/ducting/solar/b 56Jun 19, 2017 9:47 pm So after that boost on the weekend...it finally started getting interesting. they were putting in the under road bore for our water today. First up luck for plumber they took it easy as they came across the main power line for the next town on...apparently quite a distance from where it is marked on the powercorp plans... 2 and this will be interesting to see where goes. when they dug down to the water main..they also found a sewage pipe. Something the Water company swears does not exist. now our permit says if sewage is ever run past the property we have 3 months to connect. So I don;t want to spend 13K on a Sewerage treatment plant only for them to update plans and need to spend 10K running a pipe to the front of the property. Lucky the SS is going in to bat to work out what the hell is happening (also documented the power line location for our later knowledge/safety) So I did say the Treatment plant was going to be our delay...just did not expect it in this way and hoping they can sort it soon! Can't wait to see it all come together! Love the walnut and dark greys in the bathroom! Similar to what I'm thinking although haven't done our selections yet. Also interested to see the jarrah bricks (they are hubbys pick) i was wanting to see a more plainer red! But I bet I will love them when I see all yours come together. What kind a drone is it? This might be a great investment, your photography is awesome. Beautiful spot, hope they sort out the issues with the septic, what a big mistake on their part. How could they not know it was there! Dumb! Re: JG King Lexington 240 -plumbing/electric/ducting/solar/b 59Jun 20, 2017 12:20 pm The Bricks were my wifes choice, I was looking at the Gypsy grey so yes a bit plainer, but she loved these and who am I to deny her. they are meant to be starting to go up this week so hoping there enough light for some good shots in the next 2 weekends.
