Looks great. Did you get some snaps of the butlers? I remember you took out the cabinets and just did shelves?
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: JG King Lexington 240 - PCI time 162Oct 16, 2017 7:58 pm took photos of the room prior to the dots basiclly think most skirts are all getting repainted, 1/2 cornices, most door frames 1/2 doors I saw the painter had the doors up against the walls in the living room during paint, so sure enough found the marks.... doubt this painter getting much more work from them, but there must be enough as he had a shiny new ute there today. we were putting up the sign for the front gate after the inspection, and were messing around for 30 min or so with that and photos, supervisor had pulled painter inside for the entire time with what I am assuming was a bit of a talking to. We did. Seems stupid to have a dryer spot and not include a power point. I always wondered if it was an error on the master plans (there were plenty of others). Hubby reminded me again last night which got me wondering about yours. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Re: JG King Lexington 240 - Final Push 164Oct 17, 2017 6:19 am nope as that is kitty house not dryer for us will be stacking white goods till grab an all in one JG King Lexington 240 Acreage build https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87762 Re: JG King Lexington 240 - Final Push 165Oct 17, 2017 7:11 am We had a point in the cupboard next to the taps but wasn’t one in the open space under the bench. We thought that space was for baskets. We stacked the washer and dryer next to the sliding door. Re: JG King Lexington 240 - Final Push 166Oct 17, 2017 7:43 am Sorry Nico just saw the butlers pantry question. the pantry is very plain, here's a photo from outside though the fly screen, it's just a basic walk in pantry with heaps of storage! 4 shelves plus floor space. being last place had no storage we have gone a little over the top here, converting this and adding the cupboards to the laundry. not going to know what to do with ourselves. We thought that space was for baskets. We stacked the washer and dryer next to the sliding door. We don't have one in the cupboard. I think the only standard one was the washing machine one. We added one above and below the bench, i think, doubting myself now. Re: JG King Lexington 240 - Final Push 168Oct 18, 2017 5:44 am Wow congrats on PCI and getting a moving date! House looks amazing! You have a similar moving date to us. Bring on the packing 😬 Your pantry is crazy big, how good will that be with so much storage. Enjoy the new home, it seems to have gone so fast. Re: JG King Lexington 240 - Final Push 169Oct 23, 2017 9:37 pm so small update...as per usual painter bailed last week turned up the Monday that we had PCI then nothing when we went past Friday. however went past this morning and there was progress! so seems came by over the weekend. went past on way home tonight and even more done So looks like most paint done, not sure if render finished need to get colour chips out. talked to Supervisor last Friday and we won't be getting in this week, so 31st it is. All furniture has finally arrived so will have that the day after move in. NBN same day and foxtel day after. now for the not so good and all our fault. when went past this morning I was thinking the front door was a little dark, we went basalt to match gutters and garage door, but it all matched so not too bad. However with the security door over the top I think we have gone way too dark. think it will get repainted pretty soon. maybe it only looks dark as it was evening and no light. back door in sun looks much lighter which is how I saw front door in morning. the down pipe on the render is also wrong colour as it is meant to be same as render... but's it's beside the painted fuse box that's same colour..so might keep it. plus it's back of house that no-one should see. I wouldn't bother changing it, I don't think it looks bad and doesn't look like its out of place. Looking good! Re: JG King Lexington 240 - Final Push 174Oct 26, 2017 1:14 pm Hi, I have built with JGK and am following your thread. Can I know from where did you download the PCI Check list? Our PCI is scheduled on 31st and want to get reday for that. Thanks. Pri Priyal@mail.com Re: JG King Lexington 240 - Final Push 175Oct 26, 2017 1:50 pm downpipes are all balsalt as rest not on render, so would look out of place. more I look at it more I think it the right move to keep -------------------- PCI checklist http://anewhouse.com.au/sample-page/pci-guide/ great value for $4 JG King Lexington 240 Acreage build https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87762 Re: JG King Lexington 240 - Final Push 176Oct 26, 2017 8:17 pm OK so that was a whirlwind 24 hours. Whilst walking into a meeting up in Syd yesterday I get a call from the supervisor. seems the Sewerage permit has not appeared yet.. this is needed for the occupancy certificate which of course is needed by the bank to complete handover. SO on way to airport to head home get hold of plumber who was meant to have already submitted this to the coucil He confirmed this was done a while ago. Contact the Council and they had sat on it and no-one had bothered going out to inspect! all this less and a week from hand over.... So a polite suggestion this is done promptly and they ssaid will do and get us the cert today or tomorrow... Thinking we now in a bad position. fly back to melb and drive home. Check email at 8:40 at night we get the permit! from a council worker!!!!! maybe I've been too hard on them Forward to the builder he sends off to MBA at 10 last night. Get a call from supervisor at 4 today we have an occupancy certificate! Send off to Mortgage broker and follow up with a call. He has been in hospital all week sick and out of office. CRAP then out of blue get a call from bank at 5:30 tonight, seems he has been monitoring email and submitted to bank they have processed it and the Cheque is ready to be picked up tomorrow morning... So after a roller coaster 24 hours everything is done and now we are booked at 10:30 Tuesday for handover.... they have internal QA coming in tomorrow Final clean booked for Monday kinda shocked and stunned....but it's real and happening. going to spend Saturday confirming all deliveries for next week but yeah this is going to happen! Supervisor called me mon night and so hand over moved forward 30 min! I was sure our bad luck was about to start when I saw his number but nope. Few small issues on hand over, clearers took a chunk out of the wall in the toilet, has already been patched and whole wall repainted by end of day! they have agreed the front window is too scratched, Regional manager was here when I arrived signing off the replacement, should be here in a little bit. 1 smoke detector has decided to beep, getting replaced in morning Other than that all good, now the stressful part. tomorrow we have NBN, GAS, Electrician, new furniture delivery, Storage removalists and air cond on site! will post some pics when Furniture in place and Fast internet connected. plus on an interesting side note of the 6 blocks in this "estate" 4 others sold in past 2 weeks..... only 1 left. looking forward to having furniture and kitchen ware tomorrow (had to have fish and chips for dinner as no cookware!!!!) Good to see you haven't had many issues on hand over Re: JG King Lexington 240 - In! 180Nov 10, 2017 5:56 pm ok long time no post as we have been very busy. no pics hoping to get some tomorrow as the weather been too crappy for the drone. we are in properly now, however have massivly under estimated furniture, place looks soo empty even with the new stuff. all issues fixed other than front window. however they ahve been out to measure and check window and will be done in the next few weeks. (considering Supervisor said up to 3 months I'm happy with that speed.). no real new issues couple small things came loose and just tightened them up (a door handle and a toilet seat) otherwise all good. Air cond in and wow it powerful! loving it work has been super busy so not all boxes unpacked but working through it. one thing I had really looked forward to was sitting out on my alfresco after work on a friday and kicking back with a beer. Achieved that today and was perfect 30 degrees lots of space and a beer. will provide some pics sun/mon of the actual house now everything is delivered and in! enjoy your weekend I know I am...
