The builder had about 2 weeks break over the Christmas & New Year period and are back at it this week. Went by the house yesterday and noticed that the undermount sink and tapwares and air condition unit and ducts been installed. We are awaiting the head office to give us the PCI date, we should find out by next week when that will be. Seems like a long road to travel but the rewards will be worth it! I am just a little envious considering our build won't commence for another 2 months or so. Could I ask what model aircon they installed? We are building a Finlay 36 but with extension will be around 37 squares. Ausbuild are including the DAIKIN FDYQN140LB-LV (14.0KW cooling). We noticed at the Doolandella display centre the Ellison 30 had the DAIKIN FDYQN160LA-LV (15.5kw cooling). I'm just thinking we need to upgrade to the larger unit for our size house and was checking to see what unit you went with. Thanks, Paul Hi Paul Its definitely will be worth it at the end, we just can't wait to move in. 2 months will come and go pretty quickly before you know it you already got a slab on your land. The air con unit we have installed is the FDYQN140LBV1 (RZQ140LV1 is the model) we just went with this as part of their promo when we started our contract. I think this unit should be enough for the house but I guess time will tell when we move in and see how it goes during this weather. I'm still envious as we have been on this journey since August and the land has only just registered. And we have no idea about colours etc. I know how you feel, we put our deposit down for the land back in Aug/Sep 2016 and had to wait until Apr 2017 for it to be registered and then it wasn't until couple more months later the build starts. We were hoping we can move in by end of 2017 but not to be the case however it be all worth it. For colours I really have no idea myself, it doesn't help if you are colour blind haha so I left this up to my partner and also we had help from the lady at Australbricks. I would recommend if you have the chance make an appointment and go see them she was patient with us and was able to give us some recommendations with the external colour choices and you can actually see it in person what it may look like. With our internal colours we went basic with white walls but what I didn't know is there is like hundreds of white options, this is where it gets tricky. It took us a while to decide on which white to go with and at the end we happy with the choices. If you like I can show you the place once we get the keys. My wife and I would love to have s look around your house. We have been driving past the gumdale estate watching the houses go up and the facade colours trying to get ideas but haven't ventured out your way. White is the internal colour I am after but have been told it can't be start white. Thanks again four the offer.
