Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 04, 2017 9:15 pm Ok so decided to post our home building journey after stalking this forum for quite a while. We bought our land in march 2016 and almost built with other builders. First was macdonald jones. However we got the quote back without the extra double garage (that hubby needed) as they said it wouldn't fit. We loved that house but just wasnt willing to compromise on what we wanted. Next was plantation and we even put a deposit down but would have had to sell a kidney for the price of the extra garage. We actually stumbled across hallmark in the display village while we were following up on getting our deposit back from plantation. Found a design we liked that would fit and the rest is history. No kidney sold 😁. We chose the Infinity 319 with alot of changes. Our sales guy has been very patient and we couldnt be happier with progress so far. Frame has been completed but haven't actually seen it yet. Checking it out on the weekend and i cant wait!! Will try to post pics asap. Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 8May 05, 2017 8:06 pm MissLucky, you are very lucky to have such a nice flat acre to build on. I'm looking forward to seeing your build. Do you have a copy of your plans and colour selections? Look forward to following your build Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 9May 05, 2017 9:14 pm So happy you started a thread - look forward to following along! Your block looks awesome - where are you building? - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 10May 05, 2017 9:35 pm Great looking block and impressive slab.......lol at the baths. Following your thread Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 11May 05, 2017 9:56 pm We are building at New Beith. We thought it was nice and flat too but we will have to build a retaining wall at the front and down one side. And a small retaining wall out the back later on when we have spare cash. Colours were chosen back in November after months of deciding what we wanted. Pretty happy what was chosen however i gotta stop second guessing..lol. Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 16May 05, 2017 10:19 pm Very nice plan. I thought it looked a bit wider when looking at your slab. Just a thought as I haven't uploaded PDF files on here maybe you could save the PDF as a img or JPEG and try to upload them that way. Cheers 🤞 Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 19May 05, 2017 10:35 pm Love your plan Miss Lucky! My hubby would be so jealous of your enormous garage! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: Our Acre build -Hallmark 20May 05, 2017 10:36 pm Changes are... Swapped bed 4 and bath position. Redesigned main bathroom /toilet to have a vestuble. Extended main ensuite and redesigned (reduce study) So i could have a bath( cant wait for that!). Moved wir wall along with main bed wall/ media. So a bigger wir!! Closed off one side of activity opening and added extra linen space. Closed off media openings(two teenage kids) Widened kitchen island and removed the extra bit. Added cupboard in study. There may be more that i have forgotten? Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17198 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23754 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 23738 |
