Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 04, 2017 6:49 am Hi dear members, we need to know if anyone has experience with land which has significant slope at the front. we found a land which has bush view at the back (without being a bushfire zone) so hubby is in love. However the land have major issues. The front of the lot is very sloppy as you can see in the contour map (each contour line is 0.25m) The front area where the driveway will be build has almost 2m slope. Redt of the building area has 1m slope. The slope goes upwards from the road into the back if the property. now what can I expect in terms of cost if I need to lower the garage by say 30cm? And what would be the cost of retaining wall at the front that I'll be looking at (as in the picture). The frontage is 13.5m so ill be looking at almost 9 or 10 m of retaining wall at the front? The side of the lot already have retaining wall done by the developer. The photo of the facades was shared by one of the SC of a builder saying the front retaining wall will look like this. Buy he could not give me any idea of what need to be done for driveway gradient and the cost ill be looking at. Any advice? Experience?
