Browse Forums Building A New House Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 41May 10, 2017 12:54 pm Sapphire Drive. We have done prestart and just waiting on final drawings to sign off Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 43May 10, 2017 1:14 pm Haven't set one up yet, might when the build starts. Yeah just around the corner! Have you been in recently? Loads of houses going up and they have fenced the park to start work. We hopefully will have our slab down by the end of the month. Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 44May 10, 2017 1:18 pm Yes, I pop in to see what's going on every couple of weeks! Was so surprised to see slabs going down within a week or two of practical completion of land. HGWA wouldn't do ANYTHING with ours until they could do surveys etc. Obviously other builders can get their acts into gear and plans into council way before that! The park looks like it is going to be lovely (if that big sign is an accurate depiction). I wonder what the time frame is for the school and the shopping district and the sports hall?? Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 45May 10, 2017 1:23 pm Summit had been in and got the survey and soil tests done before the area had officially opened! The school is seemingly no.6 on a waiting list to be built in the area but the oval and sports hall should be complete before the school. I'm guessing the shops will start sometime after the apartments are completed. Hopefully we get a cafe, a Super IGA, a bottleshop and pizza Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 47May 10, 2017 4:51 pm Mrsxtro01 Madora Dreamer Thank you so much for sharing, this has been so helpful! Can I ask why you have had 4 conduits put into the study? Can't wait to see your slab go down next My husband works in IT and works from home. He has video conferences multiple times a day to the east coast. After handover we will be having lots of smart wiring installed, hence the need for the conduit. The multiple conduits in the study will allow for easy access and installation of multiple data points. I think that's the reason anyway! I just nod and smile and start to vague out when he gets excited and talks about the Internet!! Sounds like what we did when I am not in Sydney I am on call in my study Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 48May 11, 2017 4:42 pm Here's the guy we are using for all our smart wiring after handover. He comes highly recommended by past customers. http://www.hightechhandyman.com.au Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 49May 24, 2017 3:45 pm So, a quick update... Got our final plans yesterday. They look pretty good. A few power points not quite in the right place but apart from that it all looks as we specified. Final Docs all signed, sealed and delivered. We are now in scheduling! Apparently we will have a slab in 4-6 weeks assuming no delays from council or the developer (both I hear are good and speedy at issuing approvals). So very exciting! My patience would have been long gone!! Congratulations!! You'll have a slab in no time Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 58Jul 18, 2017 10:40 pm Well Jess_89, I must say I have tried very hard to be patient and I think have been relatively well behaved!! I am sure they are well sick of me emailing them though! Only in the last couple of weeks have I let my frustration show with a few terse emails!! But finally we are off and running. I am pushing for a 20/12/17 completion as that is when the lease on our rental will be up. I am not convinced this is going to be possible but we will give it a damn hot go!!
