Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 28, 2017 1:26 pm Hi everyone! We are excited to build our first home. We live in Syndey but planning to move to QLD once the house is finished. As I and husband won't be nearby during the build, i hope I can get information and tips from anyone building with Valeco homesđ Re: Building with Valeco Homes Forest Ridge - Brampton 2Apr 28, 2017 4:02 pm Hi! Yay!! We will be in the same neighbourhood! What stage of Forest Ridge are you in? My partner and I are in Stage 7. Our land should hopefully be ready in July. As you saw in my thread, we are building with Valeco. We are about to sign off on our Full Working Drawings and have our Colour Appointment booked for Tuesday 9th May. Super excited! We are loving Valeco so far (but we haven't started buidling which is the important part. Haha). We love that they do custom designs (ours is completely custom). Love that it's turnkey key. They have good inclusions and we think their pricing for upgrades and extras are pretty fair. Our sales guy Dean is great. He is always happy and enthusiastic for us. Offers advice when discussing changes. Responds to emails quickly (and often during his weekend). The only advice I have is to double check everything. Sometimes after discussing changes and items to add, when receiving updated plan/specs there would be things missing. Always make sure that variations are listed on the specs document (even if shown on sales plan). If you build custom design - question that everything has been added into the price. We had a bit of an issue with a kitchen benchtop in our Butler pantry. It was apparently considered a variation but we didn't know, and they forgot to add it to the specs. It got sorted out though - which is another positive, they seem to be good about fixing issues. Hope you share your progress here too, excited to follow! Re: Building with Valeco Homes Forest Ridge - Brampton 5Sep 19, 2017 7:26 am I found it useful speaking to a few sales people from Valeco. The information they provide are all different and you are going to gain a better understanding of the standards they provide. We have gone through 2 sales guys and also drove to Newport to meet Greg. The issues we had were solves through just talking to them as some knew more about certain things than the other which made the process much easier. 2014 Custom Home - Antech Constructions - 2018 Custom Home - Valeco Homes Re: Building with Valeco Homes Forest Ridge - Brampton 8Dec 02, 2017 10:19 pm It's looking great! I've driven past your build numerous times! yayy!! We are building a second dwelling and are currently selecting window and door frames. We want to blend into the forest and also bring out the stone work and the fake wood… 0 15931 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74688 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
