Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 184Aug 02, 2017 1:01 pm Hi Klea, The kitchen is looking fantastic. I am looking at getting the undermount range, but the regular doesn't look bad at all. Great to see everything moving along Gai Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 186Aug 02, 2017 7:03 pm Hi Gai, Yes the canopy rangehood doesn't look bad, just not what I was planning all along. I'm hoping to sell this to a friend to update an old kitchen or something similar. I'm planning to run an LED strip light under the cupboards to play with the splashback tile pattern but the strip wont actually work the way they've got it. The canopy rangehood aligns to the bottom edge of the cupboard doors but the doors actually extend about 30-50mm below the underside of the cupboards so the led strip would have to step down under the rangehood, not run straight along. Messy. Anyway the electrician provided a PowerPoint for the led strip so all I need to do is plug it in myself when it's ready to go! Splashback tile again seeing as it's not in yet: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 187Aug 02, 2017 7:12 pm Hi Klea - Just found your thread - your house looks amazing! nice colour choices! i personally don't mind the white grout for your bathroom. It works with your white contrast walls and brings it together. I also prefer a rangehood than an undermount one too... However its a personal choice im sure. The lego pics are hilarious! so creative... anyway look forward to seeing the finishing touches Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 188Aug 02, 2017 7:42 pm Wow, your place looks awesome!!! Oh I love the infinitely tile splash just gorgeous Can't be long to go if all your finishing touches are going in 🤞🏼 Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 190Aug 02, 2017 8:14 pm gr8ly Hi Klea - Just found your thread - your house looks amazing! nice colour choices! i personally don't mind the white grout for your bathroom. The ensuite feature tile I wanted to read as a big plane/band of stone. And the overhead cupboards as a clean timber box. But yes the canopy rangehood is quite good. Glad you like the Lego! We are still working through our working drawings, and have had a couple of setbacks... bit frustrating, so hoping council doesn't take too long when we eventually submit our plans Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 193Aug 02, 2017 9:11 pm i've been lazy - haven't updated my thread in ages! Valeco just seemed honest with their inclusions, and were happy to make any change we wanted, and still are making lol. Although we found some things were super cheap to change, and others have been extremely expensive. All the people we've met through the display home areas have been really nice so far, so hoping it continues when we actually start building. Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 194Aug 03, 2017 12:06 pm klea, Good to know as we are only in the very early stages and our land doesn't settle until October. We are building the Grange 25 and I am trying to get everything right in my head before we get to the contract stage. Following your build just makes me think of extra things I need to talk to the sales rep about. Did you get 900mm wide for your island bench? We were thinking about increasing to 900mm but I don't know if we will need to. We were thinking about increasing to 900mm but I don't know if we will need to. 800 is fine. Underbench cupboards are usually 600 to fit dishwasher etc. so the extra 100mm (300 rather than 200) just gives you that extra overhang for people sitting at stools. if you're going ceasarstone, it's crazy expensive especially for upgraded ranges, so you'll appreciate 100mm less benchtop on the moneynside of things! Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 199Aug 03, 2017 9:18 pm Exciting news today. SS called about something and I decided to ask about PC given there's hardly anything left to do. PC is currently planned for 22nd August and then handover on 5th September. This may change if anything is delayed but sounds good to me! That's PC in week 14 of build and handover week 16 if all goes to plan.
