Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 221Aug 16, 2017 4:21 pm Good news guys. Ss called me today after i sent another email about the missing screens to the boutique stackers and whether $2000 was actually just for a wider track. They came through with he goods. Ss argued with his superiors and their superiors and said they've agreed to put screen doors in at no further charge and are going to try to get it done before handover (5th sept). So that's awesome. I still don't know whether the original $2k for the track was legit or a mistake.. but I don't need to purchase screens after handover so that's a win. Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 226Aug 16, 2017 9:20 pm What a great outcome and pci being talked about already I seriously feel like you have just started the build how great is that. https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 227Aug 16, 2017 9:29 pm Yeah pc when they are due to be finished (haven't got an inspection for me to walk through yet) is next tuesday which is week 14 of the build. Apparently they like to do their own defects before they'll show it to me. Handover is 🤞🏻still going to be two weeks after that. Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 228Aug 17, 2017 6:15 pm Driveway formed up pour tomorrow. I asked questions about the finish so got to speak to the concreter about adding more but opted not to. But not sure if they would've given that option if l I hadn't asked? Anyway there were Godfrey hirst options in the silver range and it's worth it (I think) to have lovely soft carpet. Can't wait to walk on it. Upgraded underlay too. It has a little bit of the swishy suede look if rubbed the wrong way but I knew that and it'll be fine once beds are taking up half the floor. We got in when the flooring contractors were there and I very quickly took my shoes off and walked across my bedroom carpet. But can't wait to enjoy it properly after handover! Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 239Aug 26, 2017 7:43 pm Haven't had it yet. So this Tuesday was pc... but not an inspection. It was just a date that they had "finished". They've done a lot of touch ups and their own qa during the week. I get to walk through next Tuesday. Unfortunately my ss only likes to do walk throughs in the middle of the day and I work in Brisbane which is an hour commute... I'm worried it's going to be the same story the following week for handover. We spent close to 2 years in a process with TA. It was horrible..... we got to tender, and the first cut was 50% over our budget which "they care such about meeting ".
