Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 241Aug 29, 2017 5:57 pm PCI /walkthrough today. Has been a crazy couple of days as my mum ended up in hospital from a workplace accident yesterday with two broken ribs. So may have been a bit out of it today at walkthrough. But still exciting to see it all finished.
Didnt get to use my defect stickers or take as many photos as I would've liked as it was two solid hours of walkthrough and then handover type items like warranties, paperwork and talking about how things work. Realistically there really weren't any noticeable defects left that they Hadn't already flagged. We've been picking them up as we go though. They've been very thorough and had their QA auditor come through who gave the house a 9/10 for quality. Apparently 9s get put in front of the national something rather manager and 10/10s to someone even more important as good examples. So my ss was pretty pleased. And he said it didn't get a 10 because of outstanding minor defects. They had the painter there today too doing any touch ups so they were done halfway through my walk through. Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 242Aug 29, 2017 6:01 pm Heres a few pictures: will probably just wait now til after handover to take photos now with furniture/items in the rooms. Handover won't be next Tuesday as boutique stacker screens won't arrive til Friday 8th. So I asked SS if we can do Friday arvo handover. Really keen to get in by the weekend!! Hallway (they had just repainted these walls). I really hope they get everything done Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 246Aug 30, 2017 10:36 pm bribiebell Thanks bribiebell. It's been a bit of a struggle this week. Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 248Sep 07, 2017 7:57 am Ah I really want handover tomorrow... all the inspections and defects were done over a week ago and money is paid and has been paid all week... even have the final certificate from coral. Just waiting on boutique screen doors to arrive - I feel like they could handover and just drop in to install sometime... really want the weekend to get in and start doing landscaping!! Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 250Sep 07, 2017 8:31 am Oh how frustrating!! Have you asked if they can just install the doors later? Fingers crossed for keys before the weekend!! Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 251Sep 07, 2017 8:37 am You have PCI tomorrow don't you Tamara? Well the doors are confirmed for tomorrow morning. The hold up now is coral hasn't notified my ss if they've received the monies. It's been a week and 2 days since the bank said they would proceed with the transfer!! surely they have it! Yea, we have PCI at 7am (ouch!). I have had to work back a few hours so I can start work late tomorrow. I would have thought that you would have had confirmation of payment by now. maybe follow up with Coral to check. They are usually fast at emailing receipts of payment. Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 253Sep 07, 2017 9:03 am At what stage did you send the final invoice to your bank? Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 254Sep 07, 2017 9:13 am Oh good luck Klea your how's looks beautiful fingers crossed the stackers get done & you are in celebrating on weekend Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 255Sep 07, 2017 9:32 am Tamara1975 At what stage did you send the final invoice to your bank? The paperwork went in at least 2 or 3 weeks ago when I was sure everything major was completed (got a look inside when the floor installers were there). The bank was just waiting on their final valuer inspection which they did 9 days ago. The bank told me everything was good so I'm sure it's not on their end. Would've loved a walkthrough that early! I had the option of 11, then asked to get 10am - didn't finish til about 12 so missed a full half day of work which I had to make up!! I'm going to stay back at work today in the hopes that I have a handover to leave early for tomorrow! Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 258Sep 07, 2017 1:07 pm The bank forgot to put a reference on the payment so Coral received it but didn't know what job it was for! I emailed coral accounts and they said something to the effect of 'oh we wondered who that payment was from!' *facepalm* What a pity when the bank has had no issues with the previous claims! Hoping to hear now from SS as to a handover time for tomorrow!! Eek! Re: Coral Homes Build SEQ - modified Grange 20 259Sep 07, 2017 1:23 pm Oh well done bank!! lol. Hi Klea, sorry to hear about your Mum hope she's recovering well. Do you mind if I ask whether you were given the info fro your QA inspection or whether the SS advised you of the score? I enquired about our report and was told owners don't get to see any of the info. Cheers x We spent close to 2 years in a process with TA.
