Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 20, 2017 11:10 pm Hi, I am looking at some Project Home builders and wanted to get some thoughts from other members about this. A 3rd garage will cost $13,500 which essentially pushes out the side of the double garage, and adds more roof tile area. In the SW Sydney locale the 3rd garage cant have a 3rd garage door so it basically becomes storage space. I am led to believe that because this is classified as garage space and not living space, that you can almost build up to the boundry? My frontage is 16.77m and im deliberating whether its a fair cost to build the third garage (with a rear garage door access), or simply put a car port there. (as thats classiifed as a temporary structure. Keen to hear your suggestions and advice. If I go council approval I can request all sorts including a third garage. I am looking at a four car garage (tandem - so two & two deep) and if I have a double garage opening at the rear it wont be approved through CDC but if I have a single garage door at the rear it will I am told. Crazy IMO as it wont be seen from the front. Re: Building a 3rd Garage 3Apr 21, 2017 9:03 pm Hi , I'd be going by Council, not CDC. I guess my question is whether building right up to the boundary point is usually accepted by council (noting that the third garage would have it's garage door at the rear.) You should be able to encase the sewer but you will need it designed and approved and access to lot 580 to do the work 2 17155 It sounds like you have a crack in your garage where the wall meets the ceiling, along the shadow line on the… 0 17197 |
