Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 20, 2017 5:57 pm Hi all, I am building Banksia 24 (double storey) with Eden Brae home. I am not sure which place I should pick it up for the rainwater location. Here are the options with number 1, 2 and 3 highlighted with green circles Option 1 & 2 - it will look ugly in the backyard Option 3 - access space will be only 30cm from laundry to backyard after putting the slimline water tank Option 4 - under slab rainwater tank. It's expensive and cost me around $3600. Much appreciate your advise. Thank you. Then like pp said screen it. We moved ours to front backyard to keep it out of my view and really it was a dead spot. At the time it stood out but now fencing is up you don't notice it so much from the front and it's out of my main view area of my house as the only window that opens to it is a bathroom so no one really opens it. Are you referring to option 2? Re: Rainwater location (new build) 5Apr 20, 2017 9:46 pm Thank you Shellby for your response. I really appreciate it. Not sure if technically I can keep it in the corner. I will find it out. I am inclining towards to option 2 and thinking to install the clothes line next to rainwater tank in the corner? What's your opinion on this? Cheers, Badal Re: Rainwater location (new build) 6Apr 20, 2017 10:43 pm Badal Ratra Hi all, I am building Banksia 24 (double storey) with Eden Brae home. You have your AC unit there anyway, so already some of the side partially blocked. They build custom tanks - have you considered a longer thinner tank for down the side? We are putting one at the rear of our Jasper 28Mk2 against the back wall, but due to the window height, we are getting custom to fit under the window as the standard slimline is too high. https://kingspanwater.com.au Re: Rainwater location (new build) 9May 20, 2017 5:19 pm That tank's overflow has no mitigation, it is a terrible design.
